In 2009, he took part in TV4 Idol 2009, the sixth season of the Swedish version of Idol. This was his second, more successful shot at the competition after not qualifying in 2005. In 2009 edition of Idol, he reached Week 6 of the live shows before being eliminated and coming 6th overall.
After the end of the Idol, Eddie Razaz paired with Rabih Jaber, a Swedish singer of Lebanese origin and another contestant on sixth season of the Swedish Idol to form Rebound! (often stylized as REbound! with Capital R standing for Rabih and capital E for Eddie) and ended up having a few hits, most notably the chart topping "Hurricane" that reached No. 1 of Sverigetopplistan, the official Swedish Singles chart on 7 May 2010. The band had follow up singles "Not Helpless" and "Psycho" before splitting up in April 2011.
Razaz is preparing his debut solo album due in late 2011 or early 2012. He is cooperating in this regard with Kurdish-Persian-Swedish rapper and songwriter Rebstar.
Razaz is also pursuing a modeling career. Many nude and semi-nude pictures of his circulated around even before his appearances on Idol. They were taken by a modeling agency as he revealed in an interview with gay magazine QX. Because of the pictures, he enjoyed notable interest in many lifestyle and gay forums internationally. He recently modeled for Tom Ford Eyewear with photography by Bingo Rimér.
In May 2010 issue of the Swedish gay magazine QX, Eddie Razaz came out as gay. When asked about why he didn't come out while on Idol he answered to QX's Anders Öhrman: "I have always lived openly and I have stood for it all my life. And my parents have really been a fantastic support and never had any problems with it. I am fortunate to have such good parents. But when you find yourself in the spotlight, questions like "coming out" comes up again. And I did not want. It [coming out] should never be forced. But now I do not feel compelled, I like it here."
Man in the Mirror

For once I'm my life
It's gonna feel real good,
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right
As I, turn up the collar on
My favorite winter coat
I see the kids in the streets,
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind?
Pretending not to see their needs
A summer disregard,a broken bottle top
And a one man soul
They follow each other on the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
(If you want to make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)
(Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah)
I've been a victim of a selfish kind of love
It's time that I realize
That there are some with no home, not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me, pretending that they're not alone?
A willow deeply scarred, somebody's broken heart
And a washed-out dream
(Washed-out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me
(Starting with me!)
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Ooh!)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
(If you want to make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Change his ways, ooh!)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that
(Take a look at yourself and then make that)
Change!
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Better change!)
No message could have been any clearer
(If you want to make the world a better place)
(Take a look at yourself and then make the change)
(You gotta get it right, while you got the time)
('Cause when you close your heart)
You can't close your, your mind!
(Then you close your, mind!)
That man, that man, that man, that man
With the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah!)
That man, that man, that man,
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Better change!)
You know, that man
No message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
(If you want to make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
(Take a look at yourself and then make the change)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah
(Ooh)
Oh no, no no
I'm gonna make a change
It's gonna feel real good!
Come on!
(Change)
Just lift yourself
You know
You've got to stop it,
Yourself!
(Yeah! Make that change!)
I've got to make that change, today!
Hoo!
(Man in the mirror)
You got to
You got to not let yourself
Brother
Hoo!
(Yeah! Make that change!)
You know I've got to get
That man, that man
(Man in the mirror)
You've got to
You've got to move! Come on!
Come on!
You got to
Stand up! Stand up! Stand up!
(Yeah! Make that change)
Stand up and lift yourself, now!
(Man in the mirror)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aw!
(Yeah! Make that change!)
Gonna make that change
Come on!
You know it!
You know it!
You know it!
You know it
(Change)
Make that change.
Eddie Razaz's "Man in the Mirror" is a song about self-reflection and individual agency in creating change. The first verse sets the tone for the song with the opening lines, "I'm gonna make a change, For once I'm my life." The singer speaks directly to the man in the mirror, recognizing that personal change is necessary before broader change can occur. The singer acknowledges the suffering of others, particularly the children "in the streets with not enough to eat," and recognizes his own blindness to their plight. The second verse describes the cycle of poverty and how individuals can be stuck in patterns with no way out.
The chorus of the song urges the listener to look within and change themselves first before trying to change the world. The repetition of the line "I'm starting with the man in the mirror" emphasizes that change must come from within before it can be manifested outwardly. The final verse is a call to action, urging listeners to stand up, lift themselves, and make the change.
Overall, "Man in the Mirror" is a song about the power of personal responsibility and the hope that small individual changes can make a big difference in the world.
