Tus rincones y quebradas
Ya son de un nuevo viajero
Y aunque el viaje es sin retorno
De tu tierra no me olvido
De tus valles y paisajes
Siempre me sentí querido
No te olvides tú tampoco
De este humilde forastero
Que te abrió nuevos caminos
Y te dio un amor sincero.
De tu tierra inagotable
No me olvido nunca más
Y si alguna vez me extrañas
No me cierres tu portal.
Hasta siempre pueblo lindo
Guarda noches para mí
Que tu cielo y mar de luces
Sin quererlo me perdí.
The lyrics of El Cruce's Hasta Siempre Pueblo Lindo reflect the bittersweet feelings of leaving a beloved place and embarking on a journey to a new destination, knowing that there is no turning back. The singer bids farewell to the fertile valley, mountains, rivers, and warm jungle that they are leaving behind. They also mention the familiar paths they have traveled, the sound of rain showers, and the corners and gorges which are now left for a new traveler to explore.
The singer acknowledges that the journey is irreversible, but they will always remember the landscapes and valleys of their home, where they have always felt loved. They urge their hometown not to forget about them as well, a humble stranger who opened new paths for it and gave it sincere love. The singer recognizes the beauty and bounty of the land they are leaving behind, and they vow never to forget it. They also hope that their hometown will keep welcoming them even if they return years later.
