Debut Album
Her debut album was released on 3 December 2007 in New Zealand, and on 31 March 2008 in Australia. The self-titled pop-classical album was produced by Carl Doy. In its first week in the New Zealand charts [1] the album went to number 8 after going gold in five days.
On the album Marvelly sings songs taken from a range of different genres and includes two original pieces. Her song 'When You Are Sad' was reportedly written after a recent case of child abuse in her hometown shocked the nation.[2]
The recording of Marvelly's follow-up album with UK-based producer Nick Patrick has been completed. The record, 'Home', is available in Europe as merchandise on tour with Paul Potts, and is to be released in Australasia in late 2009 or early 2010.

Originally performed by Édith Piaf (1947)
The lyrics to Elizabeth Marvelly's song La Vie En Rose is a French classic, originally performed by Édith Piaf in 1947. The song perpetuates the belief that love, when found, is a life-transforming experience. The lyrics open with an incomplete portrait of the man to whom the songstress belongs. She describes his eyes as having the ability to make her melt, and a smile that falls gently on his lips, creating a mischievous aura around him. It is a portrait that needs no enhancement as it is perfect for her.
The singer expresses her emotions in the sensual experiences she has with her lover. When he takes her in his arms, she feels cocooned in tenderness, and her life appears in a rosy hue. Simple words of love whispered in her ear are enough to evoke a range of emotions, from peace to excitement. She announces to her lover that he forms an integral part of her happiness and existence. Together they share a profound bond and speak to each other in a language known only to them. La Vie En Rose is a tribute to love, one that is all-compassing and transformative.
