eep breathing in
And feel the wind revive you
Your heart will catch its breath again
Youre on your own
No one to call for rescue
Maybe that show its always been

Take it slow
Learn to run
Step by step
One by one
Take your time
Dont fall down
Take each day
One by one

Even though you think youre lost
Inside there is a light to guide you

Dont get hurt
Dont fall down
Take each step
One by o.ne

When days like this
Throw up a wall of sadness
And youre too tired too tired to climb
Oooh
They will all fall own be patie.e.e.e.nt

Take it slow
Learn to run
Step by step
One by one
Take your time
Dont fall down
Take each day
One by one

Even though you think youre lost
Inside there is a light to guide you

Dont get hurt
Dont fall down

Take each step
One by o.ne

Take it slow
Learn to run
Step by step
One by one
Take your time
Dont fall down
Take each day
One by one

Even though you think youre lost
Inside there is a light to guide you

Dont get hurt
Dont fall down
Take each ste.e... e.e.p
Step by step
One by one

Even though you think youre lost
Inside there is a light to guide you

Dont get hurt
Dont fall down
Take each step
One by one

Make your way
Soon youll come

To love each day

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Elize Ryd Rickard Söderberg's song One By One seem to be a message of hope to anyone who's struggling to cope with the difficulties of life. The opening lines encourage the listener to take a deep breath and feel the refreshing wind revive them. It's as if the song is telling them to take a moment, gather their strength, and face their problems head-on. The next few lines speak of being on one's own, with no one to call for help or rescue. It's a challenging situation, but the song assures the listener that they can do it, that maybe this is what they needed all along.

The path I just took to accidentally discover this song is WILD. I was listening on Spotify to the It's a Sin cover by Elton John, I looked up the original, stumbled upon Rickard's cover of the song, found One by One, thought it sounded like a eurovision song, looked it up on YouTube and here I am.

@Andrei091989

Its six years since this song came out! My God, the time is crazy... Greetings from Romania!

@calvininsf

Elize, Rickard - please, please come back. Please don't be discouraged by the fact that the Swedish public weren't able to recognize that this should've won Melodifestivalen; it won't be the same next year without you. :(

@Lorypowa

How is it possible they haven't even reached the finals?

@doriennegrech5660

Lorypowa Something in the application they were using for voting crashed, and instead of two rounds of voting, they only count one.... in reality, this song actually came first in the round thrashing even Saade
