The next five years Emerald Mind continued working on new songs and trying to record a quality demo. In those days it was not an easy task, because Vladivostok was too far away from any metal music industry. Finally, in november 2009, band released their first album “Tales Of Soveena” and moved to St. Petersburg to discover new horizons.
The northern capital met the musicians with the cold wind and lots of challenges. So even the very existence of the band was under question. In 2011 Alexey and Svetlana decided to move on and start writing new material for the second album. So at this moment this work almost done and we can’t wait to share with you our hopes, dreams, experience and feelings that we put in our music!
This Dying World
Emerald Mind Lyrics

You don’t have to say these words
I know it on my own
There’s no way to turn back
And save us from darkness!
Last breath of air
In this war of hatred there’s no winner
Rules this scene
Burn our mind and take us to madness
Clouds don’t stop crying
Barren land tired from trifling mankind
Seems this world is dying
Can you see hope on this lifeless sight?
Please don’t cry
All will end soon
Do you see those lights?...
The lyrics to Emerald Mind's "This Dying World" depict a world on the brink of destruction, with no hope for salvation. The opening line "Leave it alone, you don’t have to say these words" could be interpreted as a plea to stop talking about the problems of the world, as they are too overwhelming and impossible to solve. The singer feels as though they know the state of the world on their own, without anyone else's input. The next line "There’s no way to turn back and save us from darkness" suggests that things have gone too far and there is no turning back from the destruction that has already occurred.
The following lines describe the world as a "war of hatred" with death reigning supreme. The phrase "Burn our mind and take us to madness" suggests that the consequences of this war on the human psyche are catastrophic, as people are losing their minds due to the overwhelming sense of despair and hopelessness. The chorus's repetition of "Can you see hope on this lifeless sight?" emphasizes the bleakness of the world and how it seems as though there is no hope for recovery. However, at the end of the song, the lyrics contain a small glimmer of hope with the line "Do you see those lights?", which could be taken as a suggestion that there is a way out of the darkness if we just look for it.
