The music can best be described as epic metal and the theme of Equirhodont is the story of the Grand Magus Equirhodont and the tales and myth. It's an extension to the themes Root started with their albums Kärgeräs and The Book. Equirhodont's released two albums so far - Equirhodont Grandiose Magus (2002) and Black Crystal (2004).
