I just came back from a lovely trip along the Milky Way
I have recently returned from a delightful journey through space.

Stopped off at the North Pole to spend a holiday
During my travels, I took a break and visited the North Pole for vacation.

I called on dear old Santa Claus
While at the North Pole, I had the opportunity to meet with Santa Claus.

To see what I could see
I was curious and wanted to see what was happening at Santa's workshop.

He took me to his workshop
Santa was kind enough to give me a tour of his workshop.

During the tour, Santa shared his holiday plans with me.

It is important to behave oneself and not be too emotional because Santa Claus is arriving soon.

Better not pout, I'm telling you why
Sulking or complaining will not do any good because Santa is coming anyway.

Santa Claus is comin' to town
The arrival of Santa Claus is imminent and everyone should prepare for it.

He's making a list and checking it twice
Santa Claus is meticulously reviewing his list of children to ensure accuracy before delivering gifts.

Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is going to determine which children have been well-behaved and which ones have not.

He sees you when you're sleepin'
Santa is always watching, even when children are asleep.

He knows when you're a wake
Santa is aware of when children are awake as well as when they are asleep.

He knows if you've been bad or good
Santa Claus has an understanding of whether a child has been well-behaved or misbehaving.

So be good for goodness sake
It is vital to behave appropriately, regardless of receiving presents or as a good example to others.

With little tin horns and little toy drums
Among the many items Santa will bring are small metal horns and toy drums.

Rooty toot toots and rummy tum tums
These toys will make a variety of sounds, including "toot toots" and "tum tums."

And curly head dolls that toddle and coo
There will also be dolls with curly hair that can walk and make babbling noises.

Elephants, boats, and kiddie cars too
Other items that will be given as gifts are toy elephants, boats, and miniature cars for children.

Then kids in Girl and Boy land will have a jubilee
The children in the various lands will be beyond thrilled with the presents they receive.

They're gonna build a Toyland all around the Christmas tree
The children will create a play area around the tree with all of their new toys.

Now Santa is a busy man, He has no time to play
Santa has a lot of work to do and cannot take a break to engage in games and activities.

He's got millions of stockings to fill on Christmas day
Santa is responsible for filling countless stockings with gifts on the day of Christmas.

You'd better write your letter now
To make sure Santa knows what gifts to bring, children should write their wish lists early.

And mail it right away
Sending the letter early will make it easier for Santa to coordinate and acquire the desired presents.

Because he's getting ready
Santa Claus is preparing for his big annual task of delivering presents.

His reindeer's and his sleigh. So
The preparations include getting the animals and vehicle ready for the long journey.
