Many people I know will be gathered there to welcome me home.

All the friends I knew
All of my friends who have passed away before me will be there as well.

God's grace is a beautiful and comforting thing.

That saved a wretch like me.
God's grace has saved me, despite my flaws.

I once was lost but now I'm found
I used to be lost, but now I have been found by God's grace.

Was blind but now I see.
I was blind to many things but now I have gained clarity through God's grace.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
God's grace has taught me to fear Him and respect His power.

And grace my fear relieved
God's grace has also relieved me of my fear and given me comfort.

How precious did that grace appear
God's grace is very valuable and important to me.

The hour I first believed.
The moment I believed in God's grace was a pivotal moment in my life.

When we've been there ten thousand years
After spending many years in heaven.

Bright shining as the sun
Living in the brightness and warmth of heaven.

We've no less days to sing God's praise
There will be an infinite amount of time to sing God's praises.

Than when we'd first begun.
Our singing of God's praises will be just as fresh as it was when we first started.

There's no break, there's no end
There will be no interruptions or end to our time in heaven.

Just a living on,
We will simply continue to live on in heaven.

Wide awake, with a smile
We will be fully alert and happy in heaven.

Going on and on
Our journey in heaven will continue indefinitely.

I'm just going home
Again, I am simply returning home to where I belong.

Ot's not far, just close by
Once more, I reiterate that my eternal home is not far away, but nearby.

Through an open door.
And as I return, I will simply walk through an open door.
