My bed feels colder today
I smell your perfume on my mattress
And we just let it slip away
Like nothing even mattered.
We couldn't make it stay
You were always tryna be too kind
Sinking deep into the fray
Chorus:
So maybe we can go, go, go
Cause' I don't need to know, know, know
Who you seeing now
Who you letting let you down
So maybe we can go, go, go
Cause' I don't need to know, know, know
Who you seeing now
Who you letting let you down its not me
Verse:
Now I need you the most
Its beating down like a drum
Cause' when I held you so close
You told me I was the one
I never meant to let you down
I hope she always sticks around
Like I couldn't do
Like I wouldn't do
Chorus:
So maybe we can go, go, go
Cause' I don't need to know, know, know
Who you seeing now
Who you letting let you down
So maybe we can go, go, go
Cause' I don't need to know, know, know
Who you seeing now
Who you letting let you down its not me
Outro:
Who you seeing now
Who you letting let you down
Who you seeing now
The song It's Me by Felix describes the feelings of a person who is reminiscing about a past relationship that has ended. The first verse begins with the singer feeling the emptiness and loneliness of their bed and they recall the scent of their lover on the mattress. The nostalgia makes them wonder how they let something that was important to them go so easily. The singer expresses regret as they imply that their partner always tried to be understanding even during their conflict, but the relationship could not be sustained. The singer is afraid of being left behind after the breakup.
In the second verse, the singer tells their former partner that they need them the most now as they reminisce about when they felt significant in the relationship. They were made to believe that they were valued and important, and their partner had made promises. However, they feel like they let their partner down, and the relationship could not be sustained. The singer holds no grudges towards their former partner and hopes that they will find someone who can make them happy.
The chorus emphasizes the fact that the singer does not need to know who their former partner has moved on with. They have come to terms with the loss of the relationship, and they do not want to dwell on the past. The outro simply repeats the phrase, asking who their former lover is seeing at the moment.
