Born in 2001, Fell Far Behind has since proved themselves to be one of the most hard-working, ambitious, and talented upcoming bands in New Jersey.
Their existence began with a six song demo recorded at a local studio, followed by a four song EP - Chasing the Dream, recorded at the one and only Big Blue Meenie Studios in Jersey City (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Madball). These self-released recordings, combined with the bands dynamic, and musically crisp, live performances, earned the band a solid fan base and a record deal with NJ indie label - PumpkinEater Records. The Label funded and released Fell Far Behinds first LP entitled The First Annual (Also Recorded at Big Blue Meenie). Overall to date, the band has sold roughly 4000 records through touring and online sales.
Fell Far Behinds stamina has been tested by the vigorous and unforgiving trials of life on the road. They have emerged victorious from several excursions including an east-coast US tour, a full-scale US tour, and several outings consisting of their surrounding states. The band continues to seize every opportunity to perform and will stop at nothing to be heard. Fell Far Behind is proud to have shared the stage with Cartel, The Fight, Valencia, Days Like These, All Time Low, and Bowling for Soup.
Fell Far Behind is currently unsigned. The collapse of their label has only fuelled the band with an even greater drive and determination to be successful. Their most recent achievement was winning $25,000 in the nationwide radio contest – The Garageband.com / Verison Wireless “Face Off”. All of the winnings were put towards the production and marketing of their latest release “Reaching the Red Line”, released September 18, 2007.
Fell Far Behind has nothing to lose and has already dropped everything for the sake of their band. Since their formation in 2001, they have demonstrated endless hard work, persistence, and stamina, not to mention great music. Fell Far Behind will continue trudging forward and stretching their limits as they continue to persist in surviving the music world.

Fell Far Behind Lyrics

Nothing more,
You wanted to know,
So now you know,
What happens now?
Hurry, your feelings aren't worthless
Why just once?
And I know,
That it's against the rules,
But I still want you.
So tell me,
How you feel?
Now that you know,
Can you go on as though we're friends?
Just pretend this never happened?
Why just once?
Why must everything get complicated?
And I know,
That it's against the rules,
But I still want you.
And I know (and i know),
It's against the rules,
So now what am I to do?
When all i want is to save you,
Save you,
I saw you in the corner
writing in your book of thoughts
what did i mean?
Tell me how you feel
The lyrics of Fell Far Behind's song Just Once are about a person who wants to know how the other person feels about them, even if it's just for once. The singer in the lyrics is asking the other person to reveal their feelings and express them. The lines, "Just this once, nothing more, You wanted to know, So now you know, What happens now?" shows how the singer is curious about the other person's emotions and what will happen once they are out in the open. However, the singer is aware that it's against the rules, probably because they don't want to complicate things between them, but still wants to know how the other person feels.
The chorus, "Why just once? Why must everything get complicated? And I know that it's against the rules, But I still want you" emphasizes the confusion and dilemma the singer is going through. They know that things may get complicated, but still, their desire to know what the other person feels is strong. The lines, "Can you go on as though we're friends? Just pretend this never happened?" further suggests that the singer is aware that even if the other person expresses their feelings, it might not change anything between them, and things may have to go back to how they were before.
In summary, the song Just Once is about the internal battle between the desire to know how a person feels and the fear of complicating things between two people. It expresses the vulnerability and confusion individuals go through when they have romantic feelings for someone they shouldn't.
