Stabbing Victim
Femme Fatale Lyrics

You forgot your knife
You left it in my back
Why don't you get it back?
Look what you've done now
Look what you've done now
You've stabbed me in the chest
Yeah don't hold on
It gets me every time
After you've stabbed my chest
Just stab and get the head!
Once you will not let go
Yeah, I intend to go
I'm trying one without you
I'm trying it out without you!
Once you will not let go
Yeah, I intend to go
I'm trying it without you
I'm trying it out without you
The lyrics to the song "Stabbing Victim" by Femme Fatale are dark and haunting, with themes of betrayal, revenge, and emotional pain. The opening lines ask the perpetrator to come back and take their knife, which they have left in the singer's back. The second line makes it clear that the perpetrator has used this knife to stab the singer in the chest.
The chorus repeats "Look what you've done now" multiple times, as if to drive home the sense of damage that has been done. The singer admits that they have been stabbed and they won't have to guess what the perpetrator's intentions are. In the second verse, the singer seems resigned to the fact that they keep letting the perpetrator back in, even though they know they will be hurt again. The suggestion is that this pattern needs to stop, and that the singer needs to cut ties with the perpetrator once and for all. The repeated line "Once you will not let go" indicates that the person who stabbed the singer is possessive and controlling, and will not let the singer go, even if it causes them pain.
The song is a powerful exploration of the dynamics of a toxic relationship. It is clear that the singer is in pain, and that they recognize the harm that has been done to them. However, they also seem to be caught in a cycle of hurt that they can't break out of. Whether they choose to end the relationship or continue to struggle with it, the emotional scars that have been inflicted on them will stay with them for a long time.
