To the public he´s almost unknown even though he as a songwriter and performer has achieved success and Gold/double platinum discs in his work together with swedish artists like Christian Walz "Like Suicide", David Lindgren "Shout It Out", "Skyline" and Ulrik
Munther "Requiem" to name a few.
Now he releases his own material. First up is the single "The Other Side" (release 20 August.)
Fernando was born in Santiago in 1980 and came to Sweden as a 3 year old. Fernando grew up in a musical family where percussion and dance were a matter of course. As early as 5 years old he was playing bongos and at the age of 7, he won his first dance competition.
With his unique voice and infectious energy, the livestage has become like a second home for Fernando. He has participated in Kylie Minogue's European tour as a percussionist and has been acclaimed for his solo singing in tribute to the king of pop Michael Jackson at Alcazar hit shows Disco Defenders at Rondo in Gothenburg. Fernando also played the role of film actor Joe Pesci in the successful musical Jersey Boys.
Fernando can be described as rhythm and harmony based artist who loves to work with multiple layers of voices and percusive instruments. This has proven to be a success in the studio where he, through his productions and cowrites to other stars and their success.
"For me it is impossible to do only one thing, or just have a dimension as a performer, just like my rolemodels Prince, Juan Luis Guerra and Michael Jackson. I take inspiration from everything´s that is going on and happened to me and others and in turn it becomes new creations in my world, "says Fernando.
Now Fernando plunge and launch his solo project. On the new single "The Other Side", he uses all his skills as a singer, songwriter, musician and producer. The song has strong 80's R & B / funk influences with a modern backbeat pop sound, driving synth bass and rhythm guitars. The song and the melody is heavily inspired by Chaka Khan and Michael Jackson. The song is about to be seduced and let yourself be seduced, it is up to the listener to decide what is seducing.
"My passion is and has always been writing lyrics and music that moves people. This applies to everything in my artistry. When I wrote "The Other Side", I wanted to describe my own personality that loves to be seduced. Now I hope that the audience will be seduced by the song "concludes Fernando with a smile.
The autumn of 2016 contributes Fernando Fuentes as an artist and musician in the Alcazar-show "Disco Defenders The Return" on the Swedish legendary stage, Hamburger Börs. He is also a vocal coach in the popular Swedish kids-show, "SuperShowen" as well as an artist, songwriter, and one of the characters in SVT's popular music program "Minimello 2016".

In Fernando Fuentes's song "No One Else" the singer is looking forward to the weekend and intends to take some time to ease his mind even if things could go wrong. Despite that, he's not the complaining type and wonders why things are the way they are. The singer's mood is lifted when the music comes on and makes him feel happy which causes him to want to dance. The singer then meets a beautiful lady that he becomes entranced with and acknowledges that no one else will do, she's the one for him.
