A source that pushes me
A brand new perspective an activation key
I ́m so set in my ways i ́m bored of every
Thing that comes to my mind
I ́m tired as can be
I'm talking 'bout big, big boys
Little kick in the pants big, big girls
Occasionally come along with helping hands
(yeah)
The radio is playing
The same songs all the time
They stick in the rotation
Send shivers down my spine
I don ́t feel connected
I ́m lost in lethargy terribly neglected
I guess I need a therapy
I'm talking 'bout big, big boys
From time to time they need a
Little kick in the pants big, big Girls
Occasionally come along with helping hands
(yeah) big, big boys
From time to time they need a
Little kick in the pants big, big Girls
Occasionally come along with helping hands
(yeah)
An hour in the shower i got no energy
Oh god I miss the power
Will she come back to me?
Big, big boys climb up a mountain
Big, big boys they run to the sea
Big, big boys (doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)
Won ́t you turn me on?
The lyrics to Fool's Garden's song "Boys" convey a sense of longing for inspiration and a desire for change. The singer feels stuck in their ways and bored with their current state of mind, expressing exhaustion. They seek something that can push them out of their comfort zone and provide a fresh perspective, like an activation key that can unlock new possibilities.
The mention of "big, big boys" and "big, big girls" represents the idea that even those who appear confident and self-assured sometimes need a little push or assistance. It suggests that nobody is immune to feeling stagnant or in need of a boost. The singer yearns for someone who can shake them up, either through a "kick in the pants" or providing helping hands as a form of support.
The lyrics also touch on a sense of disconnection and lethargy, saying that the radio plays the same songs repeatedly, which becomes monotonous and sends shivers down the singer's spine. They express a feeling of being neglected and not feeling connected to the world around them. The mention of needing therapy suggests that they require something more profound to uplift their spirits and reignite their energy.
The final lines of the song further emphasize the desire for change and revitalization. The singer mentions feeling low on energy, missing the power they once had. They hope for someone to "turn them on," potentially referring to finding someone or something that can reignite their passion and drive.
Overall, the lyrics of "Boys" express a longing for inspiration, a need for change, and a desire to break free from monotony and lethargy. The mention of "big boys" and "big girls" highlights the universality of these feelings, showing that even those who appear strong may need help or a push in the right direction at times.
