(vers 1:)
Jag lever
Säger ungdomar som hatar livet,
Präster som blir pedofiler
Poliser som hela tiden böjer lagar överdrivet
Idrottsmän som knarkar bort den
Dopingen tar grepp om sporten
Pappan ger sig på sin dotter
Oskyldiga spelar offer
Allt för pengar, känner doften
Arbetslösa går mot brotten
Folk blir skjutna för hiphopen
Kändisar som säljer själen
För en löpsida som kräver
Att du hänger ut nån jävel
Allt e vårt fel, vi e världen
(refräng:)
Jag vill föstå
Hur de blev så
Under tiden kan jag tänka på
Jag lever
Jag vill förstå
Hur de blev så
Under tiden kan jag tänka på
Jag lever
(vers 2:)
På andra sidan av atlanten
Styrs hela världen av en man men
Vi blundar så fort vi får chansen
För vi bor i lagomlandet
Där jante lagen styr
Du ska va tyst och blyg
Annars plockar dom bort dig
Fort som fan
Och lämnar en martyr
Jag ser religioner krocka
Medan staten myntar kroppar
The song "Jag lever" by Swedish rapper Fronda is a poignant commentary on the state of the world today. The title itself translates to "I am alive" and reflects the artist's determination to survive despite all the challenges and injustices he sees around him. In the first verse, Fronda focuses on a range of issues affecting society: from youth who hate life, to priests who abuse their power, police who abuse their authority, athletes who turn to drugs, and so on. The rapper suggests that all this chaos and violence is our own doing and that we are all responsible for creating the world we live in.
In the second verse, Fronda shifts his focus to the middle ground between the ordinary people and those who hold power. He laments the fact that people are taught to be silent and obedient, while those in power do whatever they please with no accountability. He criticizes religious fundamentalism, corporate greed, and political hypocrisy and how all these factors contribute to societal decay. In the third verse, Fronda speaks about the power of propaganda and how it shapes our perceptions of the world. He talks about how fear is used to control people and how news outlets manipulate the truth to serve their own interests.
Overall, "Jag lever" is a powerful song that asks us to take a hard look at the world around us and the role we all play in it. Fronda's message is clear: we must wake up and take responsibility for our actions if we want to create a better future for ourselves and future generations to come.
