1. Fruition (Portland, OR) has been showcasing their captivating brand of Folk, Soul, Grass and Rock 'n Roll to the West Coast since 2008. In the last few years they have expanded to the greater US scene, playing theaters, bars, street corners and Music Festivals all over the country (SXSW, High Sierra Music Fest, Yarmony Grass, String Summit, Oregon Country Fair, Omaha Summerfest and many more.)
This year they're hitting it even harder - they opened for Railroad Earth at the Crystal Ballroom (Portland, OR) for NYE, and are venturing out on a several-month tour that will hit all corners of the USA. They've shared stages with a range of popular bands- ALO, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Scott Law, Everclear, Railroad Earth, Furthur, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, Hot Buttered Rum, Delhi 2 Dublin, Infamous Stringdusters, Great American Taxi, Danny Barnes, Head for the Hills, and many many more.
In June of 2013, they will be putting out a new full-length album that will surely thrust them from opening-slots and small stages to headlining gigs and large capacity venues.

2. Having recently supported The View, Larrikin Love, The Rifles, The Modern and The Holloways, Fruition are taking great pleasure in giving their music to the masses. They take to the stage with a great energy and always entertain. All from a little village called Pirton the boys strive to bring a sense of community and passion to the procedings
The band has worked hard on creating their own style influenced by rather than sounding like the bands that have inspired the individual members. They also work hard in the studio to make the tunes released give people the same energy they feel at the live shows. Not content with what they have got they are going out to grab everyone and get them jumping.

Fruition Lyrics

I told you, I told you not to worry…baby
I told you, I told you I'd be alright
I told, I told you it was a lie
Yeah when you break down brother, I come and pick you up
It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love
I want to, (I want to) I want to be there
I want to, (I want to) I want to be someone ya can count on
I hope you, (I hope you)I hope you come around… in the end
And when you feel like you can't go out …I come and give you a shove
It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love
We all need someone sometimes… to pull us out when we're stuck
It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love
And when you break down brother, I come and pick you up
It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love
Just ‘cause your back on your feet
again…don't mean they won't pull the rug
It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love
It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love
The lyrics to Fruition's "Labor of Love" convey a sense of commitment and devotion to a friend, emphasizing the importance of being there for someone through thick and thin. The repeated phrase "I told you, I told you" suggests that the singer has been reassuring their friend that everything will be alright, even if it's a lie. This speaks to the idea of offering emotional support, whether or not one truly knows what the future holds. The line "And when you break down brother, I come and pick you up" reinforces this message, highlighting the singer's willingness to be a reliable presence in their friend's life.
The chorus of the song underscores the labor of love theme, with the lines "It's just a matter of time, it's just a labor of love" suggesting that helping someone in need requires effort and patience, but is ultimately worth it. The song acknowledges the ups and downs that come with friendship, such as when the singer admits they "tried to be a friend." This honesty adds depth to the lyrics, acknowledging that supporting someone through tough times isn't always easy.
Overall, "Labor of Love" is a song about the importance of emotional support and being there for others, even when it's challenging. It emphasizes the value of loyalty and perseverance in friendship.
