Give Me a High Five

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of G.E.F.'s song V depict the story of a man who has been mistreated by a woman he worked for five long years. The opening lines of the song indicate the theme of the track, that is, mistreatment. The words "Have you ever been mistreated? You know just what I'm talking about" indicate that the singer of the song is recalling a painful experience, which the listeners can relate to. The repetition of the first two lines helps to reinforce the message of being mistreated.

The next few lines highlight the hard work done by the singer for a particular woman who ultimately threw him out. The line "I got a job in a steel mill, shucking steel like a slave" depicts the hard work he had done to earn a living. The repetition of "five long years" provides a hint of the duration of his suffering. The following lines "every Friday, I come straight back home with all my pay," indicate how he had been giving his all to this woman, only to be thrown out when he had nothing left.

The final verse provides a glimpse of the singer's resolution to not be mistreated again. He acknowledges his mistake of not having done anything earlier, and now he is determined to marry a woman who will work and provide him with financial stability. Overall, the song is a powerful testament to the pain of being mistreated and the resolve to never let it happen again.

I’m aware that the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) is within the purview or portfolio of the UNEP, and I have mentioned something to the NGO, but, the matter is so urgent, I still see the need to say something to you. I see in my old university textbook, International Organizations: The Politics and Processes of Governance by Margaret Karns and Karen Mingst, that your priorities are “ozone, international waters, biodiversity, and climate change” (476). I’m assuming that biodiversity has to do with animal and plant species, which includes farm animals and farm plants. I’m doing research to write a musical or pantomime, and I’m finding out a lot of information about the States. Those in the States are holding the rest of the world at ransom because they can’t get any food to grow and any farm animals to be raised there since they shit everywhere for a prank or for fun, and spread many Ebola types as a result of it! They are holding the seeds of rare fruits and vegetables on johnnyseeds.com, rareseeds.com and bcecoseedcoop.com . They’re even holding back some rare fruits on miamifruit.org. How are they doing this? They’re requiring the rest of us to have a US shipping address and a US credit card to get those food items, which are difficult to get, while they store them in some warehouse somewhere or a some seed library or conservatory. We can’t even grow them on a wide scale even if we do get them. Why, you ask? EBOLA IS EVERYWHERE, and it’s affecting the world’s ecosystems. Ebola or flesh-eating bacteria has reached the coastal waters to the point that when they swim it the waters turned them into charred, ashy remains! That also happens when they eat the shellfish from their fecal-bacteria-ridden coastal waters. The Ebola is so bad there, there is no REAL fish but lionfish in the coastal waters. They also have only carps jumping all over the place in all of their inland water bodies. They even want to force us to eat the lionfish instead of our parrotfish, even though so many of them migrated from there to here in Jamaica. They’re so fucking rude! They think they have the right to tell us what to do, and they’re not even a country. They’re even holding back the very thing that can help to clean the waters, the air-to-water maker. This condenses the water vapour in the air and turn it into liquid. I’ve found out about this machine by accident. It can not only provide water out of thin air, it can also solve the air pollution problem by filtering the water vapour and the air at the same time (as I’ve found out in my research). And you know, just as well as I do, that air pollution which depletes the ozone layer and affects climate change and biodiversity. So, it affects ALL THE THINGS THAT YOU’RE IN CHARGE OF, and here they are pretending as if it doesn’t exist because they’re so golly gush darn busy with spreading diseases and destroying our health since they can’t get what they want! And what they want is food—and good food, too—despite destroying the environment. And, let me tell you something, it’s not just one way they’re polluting the air, as they are everywhere else, they are shitting all over the so-called cities they have there while living in homeless encampments in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Anaheim, Las Vegas—they’re just too numerous to mention. The Ebola (and other viruses and bacteria) from get air-bourne, and floats in the air and affect the human beings’ organs. The air is so bad that, during the nights, the sky is red. You look at the moon and you see red. I saw some shelf clouds moving over somewhere over there, and I had to wonder if Ebola was doing that. I did a Google images search, and saw purple and hot pink mold on the trees in what is supposed to be a forest. I mean there was every colour of the rainbow represented. I had to find out more about the molds, and what they consist of. I’ve found out they have the same type of bacteria that shit has. One of them over there ate bread mold, since the food is so scarce there, and had to have facial reconstructive surgery because of the Ebola. I saw that on YouTube. Another one on YouTube looked as if it ate green mold, and an open cavity in its face with bright green mold all around it. It had a British accent, but could easily have been an American since they can change their accent often. Those in the States have mold all around them to the point that the mold spores float all over the air, and threatening the airspace in neighbouring nation-states with Ebolas. They not only have the air-to-water maker to solve the air-to-water pollution, but they have the canned and bottled oxygen. Yet we should remain choking in the Ebolas that they have spread all over the place while they hold back those things, too. They also have the UV disinfection robots and disinfectant/deodorant sprays to further disinfect the area, and they DON’T use them, while HOLDING THEM BACK! They have all types of things to dispose of their waste in the woods in a safe manner, such as the many portable toilet kits, some of which you can see on Amazon.com. Yet they don’t use it, AND HOLD THEM BACK, while spreading germs. They spread so many diseases that the caribou deer in the run away to Canada in the dead of winter because they were eating things that tasted like dirt and shit, and they were getting zombie deer disease because of it. I saw them running away on Guardian’s YouTube channel and I’ve saved articles on my Pocket app about the Zombie deer disease. The bees are also gone, while Canada’s bee population has grown. They’re talking about having a “bee-copalypse” and all kinds of fucking foolishness, and they’ve placed the bee on the endangered species list. I’ve also saved articles about that on my Pocket app. They spread diseases like Ebola to the point that they can’t grow a pumpkin without turning it into a lantern or grow an orange without greening disease, and yet that’s our fault. They shouldn’t be allowed to EVER…without doing work to clean their shit up. I contributed something on Millie Davenport’s YouTube videos about lichens. That’s the best that I can do with that. So, if you can do anything more about that, I’ll really appreciate that.
