My favorite track of (Heart)Gold and (Soul)Silver since I'm such a fan of japanese folk music (have loved it ever since hearing it in Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon). The original track did capture the japanese folk music feeling despite being 8-bit but this is the real thing here.

I play shakuhachi and plan on recording some pokemon vgm cover again in the near future. I have some Pokémon shakuhachi covers on my youtube and soundcloud already, but it's older material so not super great.
I play a shakuhachi yuu, 1.8, it's jiari. I've been playing the yuu for a good 3.5 years now, and super cheap lightweight bamboo jinashi and a PVC one before that for about 1.5 year. So I'm basically still a beginner. XD
Not much beats the beginner mind, especially on an instrument that traces its lineage directly to both fuke shu mendicant monks called komuso and ex samurai (ronin, especially Nezasa Ha/Kimpu ryu) in the Rinzai zen tradition.
Recently started practicing on a 2.4 PVC one I got as well and am waiting for the bell shakuhachi, a bamboo composite 1.8 jinashi made by Jon Kypros who is also a teacher in Meian lineages.
Outside from western music I also practice honkyoku but I don't have a teacher so I'm not officially in a lineage.
Although I feel like I have a preference towards Kimpu ryu, albeit its rather short repertoire.

This is why i spended hours in the Theater in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Then,i deleted my saves (I was playing with NDS emulator on Tablet).
