Their most famous work is the 2000 international hit I See You Baby, remixed by Fatboy Slim in the Big Beat style -- with the repeated chorus line "Shakin' that ass," as heard in Renault Mégane advertisements. Vocals were provided by Ibiza-based DJ Gram'Ma Funk. Incidentally, this track was also recorded with the chorus line "Shakin' that thang" as a radio edit. While this is their most famous work, they have also produced less mainstream songs which are often featured in television adverts.
In the early part-of 2008 after parting company with Sony BMG, Groove Armada signed an "all encompassing deal" with the Bacardi rum brand that allows them to use GA's tracks for adverts. For more information, read Bands turn to brands in new deals

GROOVE ARMADA Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We need a leader one to makes us feel and jam
Give us a future, forward in a slow motion
Bring out the magic, more than we can remember
Hear me when I say, ho, we move ya, move ya, move ya
Soundboy rock, move ya, move ya, move ya
Hear me when I say, hey, we move ya, move ya, move ya
Forward a version
I hope it happens, been a lot of talk and ting
We been awaiting, waiting patiently
I feel a calling, hear it calling me
The voice of ages, won't you join with me?
Hear me when I say, ho, we move ya, move ya, move ya
Soundboy rock, move ya, move ya, move ya
Hear me when I say, hey, we move ya, move ya, move ya
Soundboy rock, move ya, move ya, move ya
Forward a version
Rock it ya, rock it ya
You hear, hey, we move ya, move ya, move ya
Soundboy rock, move ya, move ya, move ya
Soundboy rock, move ya, move ya, move ya
Forward a version
Over and over and over
In Groove Armada's "Soundboy Rock", the first few lines of lyrics indicate the desire for a leader to unite people through music. The operator is being urged to turn up the "fever", which can be interpreted as the volume of the music or the intensity of the beat. By doing so, it creates a sense of urgency, moving people forward in a "slow motion" that brings out the magic in the music that goes beyond what we can remember.
The chorus of "Soundboy Rock" reinforces this concept. The lyrics make a call to action by stating "Hear me when I say, we move ya, Soundboy rock, move ya, forward a version." This phrase speaks to unity and a shared experience, which is what music can bring to people. The song seems to be saying that it's not just about the music but also about the feeling it creates within people, that transcends language, race, and culture.
The lyrics culminate with the idea of "over and over and over", which could be interpreted in a few different ways. It could be the notion of the music continuing to play, and the feeling of community it creates, by bringing people together, over and over again. Or it could be a nod to the repetition in the music itself, as rhythm and melody repeat themselves, creating a sense of continuity.
