In my opinion, Pokémon X & Y are the last new main series Pokémon games (excluding ORAS & BDSP) to have a good soundtrack. The newer ones fail to have a soundtrack that really sticks out to me.

Honestly i most agree with this, though the gen 7 games had an nice soundtrack (ultra necrozma's theme is SUPER overrated)
Sword and shield definitely didn't do that great in the music department though; atleast compared to other pokemon games

people in comment sections of any game ost will dickride the game so hard, even the bad parts. i like xy but the ost isnt the best in the series. honestly its funny going from these comments praising xy to the comments of bws ost tearing it apart.
