I'm Alive
Gamma Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Did you ever see a man with no heart
Baby that was me
Just a lonely, lonely man with no heart
Can you set me free?

I can breathe, I can breathe
I can see, I can see
I can touch, I can touch
I can feel, I can feel

I can taste the sweetness of your kiss
You show me all the things I ever missed

I never felt like this
I'm Alive, I'm Alive, I'm Alive

Well I used to think I was livin'
But I was wrong
No, I never knew a bit about livin'
Until you came along

I can breathe, I can breathe
I can see, I can see
I can touch, I can touch
I can feel, I can feel

I can taste the sweetness of your kiss
You show me all the things I ever missed

I never felt like this
I'm Alive, I'm Alive, I'm Alive

Well I used to think I was livin'
But I was wrong
No, I never knew a bit about livin'
Until you came along

I can breathe, I can breathe
I can see, I can see
I can touch, I can touch
I can feel, I can feel

I can taste the sweetness of your kiss
You show me all the things I ever missed

I never felt like this

I'm Alive, I'm Alive, I'm Alive
I'm Alive, I'm Alive, I'm Alive

Although never mentioned as such, I would consider this band a super group. With the likes of Dave Pattison (Robin Trower), Ronnie Montrose and Alan Fitgerald who played bass in this band (and in Montrose) who would later go onto play keyboards for Night Ranger.

Shawn Wiles

Fitz played keyboards for a bunch of people, Van Halen and Whitney Houston to name a couple.

Paul Ceniceros

Much better than The Hollies version, the vacoder on the background voice add's to it's greatness!
GOOD👍STUFF!

Lee Jackson

Ronnie Montrose loved this song, and he loved the Hollies who wrote it. So freaking great.

randy ginden

Ronnie was a master at re-inventing other peoples songs... so many great covers!

David Lane

Released 79', Gamma 1 was the perfect representation of late 70's guitar/synth rock rocking us into the next decade.

Errol Waguespack

Muzicman 2112
