Come to me

Becomes a trickling stream
I've got to remember
He will make a way to find the sea
When the ground is dry and cracking
From the heat of my daily routine
That's when a slow down and listen
And I hear my Savior whispering
Come to me
Come to me
When you are weary
When you are wandering
Come to me, come to me
Cast your cares upon The One
Whose yoke is easy
And whose burden is light
When you feel like an island in a raging storm
No matter what your fear says
Jesus will never leave you alone
He sees, He hears, and He feels your pain
He will not pass you by
Hear him now as He calls you by name
The lyrics of "Come to Me" by Geoff Moore and The Distance reflect on the challenges and struggles individuals face in their daily lives and how they can find solace and relief in their faith in Jesus. The song begins by likening life to a river that often runs dry and seemingly disappears, leaving one stranded and lost. However, the song reminds us that even in such circumstances, Jesus will provide a way out and lead us back to the sea.
The song then moves on to touch on the weariness and aimlessness one can experience in life, and how Jesus invites us to come to him for comfort and direction. The imagery of casting our cares upon him is evoked, reminding us that we don't have to bear our burdens alone. The chorus repeats Jesus' call to come to him, whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light. The song ends on a hopeful and encouraging note, stressing the idea that Jesus sees, hears, and feels our pain, and will never abandon us.
Overall, "Come to Me" is a comforting and reassuring song that encourages individuals to turn to their faith in Jesus to anchor them through the storms of life. The lyrics speak to resonates with anyone who has felt lost, hopeless, or alone in their struggles.
