Gisselle gained success with her 2000 album Voy a Enamorarte (I'm Going to Love You), the album was nominated at the 2001 Grammy Awards for Best Merengue Album, and later that year, her hit single from the album "Júrame" (Swear To me) won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Song. Since then, Gisselle has become popular, especially in her ancestral homeland of Puerto Rico.

The song "Confieso" by Gisselle is an emotional confession of past love and betrayal. The lyrics describe how the singer loved the person in their own way and took a risk on that love.
