She is best known for the hits she recorded during the 1960s and 1970s, for both the Motown and Buddah Records labels, with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips, the most famous incarnation of which also included her brother Merald "Bubba" Knight and her cousins Edward Patten and William Guest.
Knight started to record solo material due to legal issues that forced her and The Pips to record separately. Her solo debut "Miss Gladys Knight" was released in 1978 followed by "Gladys Knight" on Colombia Records. Knight recorded the title track for the James Bond movie "Licence To Kill." It became a Top 10 hit in the UK, peaking at #6. Knight's third solo album, "Good Woman" was released in 1991 on MCA Records (now Geffen Records). The album quickly climbed the charts to #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album features the lead single, "Men" (#2 R&B). Her fourth album, "Just For You" followed in 1995. The album went Gold. Knight most recent album is her critically acclaimed ninth studio album, "Before Me", released in 2006.

I've Got a Woman
Gladys Knight Lyrics
I've really got to use my imagination
To think of good reasons
To keep on keepin' on (keep on keepin' on)
Got to make the best of (best of, best of) a bad situation (bad situation)
Ever since that day (ever since that day) I woke up and found
That you were gone (gone, gone)
Darkness all around me
Blackin' out the sun
Old friends call me
But I just don't feel like talkin' to anyone
Emptiness has found me
And it just won't let me go
Go right on livin'
But why, I just don't know
(You're too strong not to keep on keeping on) Yes, I am
(You're too strong not to keep on keeping on) staring down reality
Don't do me no good
'Cause our misunderstanding
Is too well understood (too well understood)
Such a sad, sad season (sad, sad season)
When a good love dies (when a good love dies)
Not a day goes by (not a day goes by)
When I don't realize (realize)
I've really got to use my imagination (I've got to use)
To think of good reasons (I've got to use)
To keep on keepin' on (I've got to use)
I've got to make the best of (best of, best of) a bad situation (bad situation)
Ever since that day (ever since that day) I woke up and found that you were gone
(You're too strong not to keep on keeping on)
(I've got to use my imagination) my imagination
(I've got to use my imagination) to think of good reasons
(I've got to use my imagination) to keep on pushin' on
I said I've got to make the best of (best of, best of)
Of a bad situation (bad situation)
Ever since that day (ever since that day) I woke up and found that you were gone
(You're too strong not to keep on keeping on) I really got to use
(I've got to use) that imagination, gotta think of good reasons
To think of good reasons
To keep on keepin' on (keep on keepin' on)

Gladys Knight sang the entire HELL outta this song. "You're like a diamond but she treats you like glass yet you beg her to love you but me you don't ask." FAINT!
@roses4me451
Baaaaay bay! When she sung that line, I twirled around and FELL into the "death spiral" like the children do on the run way at the gay ballroom competitions! Lol!
