The darkened moon tonight,
Your make-up smeared across your face tells me,
You're not fine,
Just a line that you recite,
I can see that,
Tears falling down give no answer,
Seems you don't even know who you are,
You just sit there quiet with your fake smile,
Don't tell me, don't tell me,
Everything's alright and you're happy,
Is it something you can't say,
I'll stay all night,
So tell me, so tell me,
What is there to hide?
I'm with you.
A hundred reasons why,
I can see it in your eyes,
Somethings wrong with you,
Always in denial,
Can it really be that bad?
Being who you are?
And tears falling down give no answer,
Seems you don't even know who you are,
Someone take her home away from here.
You just sit there quiet with your fake smile,
Don't tell me, don't tell me,
Everything's alright and you're happy,
Is it something you can't say,
I'll stay all night,
So tell me, so tell me,
What is there to hide?
I'm with you.
Tears falling down give no answer,
Seems you don't even know who you are,
Someone take her home away from, away from here.
You just sit there quiet with your fake smile,
Don't tell me, don't tell me,
Everything's alright and you're happy,
Is it something you can't say,
I'll stay all night,
So tell me, so tell me,
Everything's alright and you're happy
You just sit there quiet with your fake smile,
(You Say that you are, I can tell that you're not)
Don't tell me, don't tell me,
('Cause I know you better or now have you forgot?)
Everything's alright and you're happy,
(You Say that you are, I can tell that you're not
'Cause I know you better or now have you forgot?)
Is it something you can't say,
(You Say that you are, I can tell that you're not)
I'll stay all night,
('Cause I know you better or now have you forgot?)
So tell me, so tell me,
What is there to hide?
I'm with you
The lyrics of "I'm With You" by Go:Audio are about a friend who is struggling and pretending to be okay when they clearly are not. The singer of the song can see through the facade and knows that their friend is hurting. The friend is reciting a line, saying that everything is fine, but their makeup is smeared from tears, revealing otherwise. The friend's tears are falling without any answers, suggesting they're lost and don't know who they are. The singer pleads with someone to take the friend home away from the situation.
The chorus of the song repeats the plea to the friend to open up and tell the truth. The singer knows that the friend is in denial and is wondering why things have gotten so bad. The singer is willing to stay with the friend all night and wants them to let their guard down and reveal what's really going on. The singer tells the friend that they're with them.
The lyrics are powerful and insightful, acknowledging the hidden struggle that many people face when trying to put on a brave face. The song encourages people to reach out to those who may be struggling and to be there for them when they need it the most. It's a reminder that people often hide their pain, and it's important to take the time to truly listen to them.
