As opposed to the aggressive Satanism of many black metal bands, GBK's lyrics take a literate, satirical view of biblical lore. The band is known for incorporating melodic, traditional heavy metal influences while retaining the more unorthodox aspects of black metal songwriting. GBK are one of America's first black metal bands and are true fathers of USBM.
Following the death of Richard Mills (singer on Kosherat) in August of 2006, the band split up, but later reformed to play gigs in 2009-10. The band has been sporadically active and playing gigs ever since with Unhold (Absurd, Luror, Helduntum) taking over as live vocalist. New studio material has been recorded Kohanic Charmers (2022)

Kingdom of Poisoned Fruits
Grand Belial's Key Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
That drips in red from her stagnant slit
On a silver tray she lays sodomized
Her weeping face symbolizes mankind
Norns take part in the espionage
Some tell of the fruitful kingdoms
Encircled by fantastic homages
They have fallen from far above
Unmasked to plunge into eternity
A pond is filled with miraculous wines
Deformed valkyries float about the prairie
They have fallen from far above
Unmasked to plunge into eternity
Kingdom of Poisoned Fruits
The scaffold stands tall in the town
Bystanders faint in total disgust
A demonic mass to follow
The vivid decollation of God
Kingdom of Poisoned Fruits
The lyrics to Grand Belial's Key's song Kingdom of Poisoned Fruits are quite graphic and disturbing in nature. The first verse speaks of a woman who is being sodomized and her genital discharge is being consumed by mice. This can be interpreted as a metaphor for the degradation of society and the decay of moral values. The woman's weeping face symbolizes mankind's sorrow and despair. The second verse speaks of the Norns, who are Norse goddesses of fate, participating in espionage and revealing the existence of fruitful kingdoms that are surrounded by fantastic homages to the devoted slaves of faith. This could be interpreted as a reference to the corrupt leaders who use religion as a tool to manipulate and control their followers.
The chorus has a repetitive message that the fallen ones have unmasked and are plunging into eternity in the kingdom of poisoned fruits. This can be interpreted as a reference to the consequences of sinful and decadent behavior. The final verse speaks of a public execution where the onlookers are disgusted by the vivid decollation of God. This could be interpreted as a metaphor for the rejection of moral and ethical values by society.

That's so awesome you have this. This is the closest I can find to buying/hearing it and I've been searching for hours.
You wouldn't happen to know where to hear this version of Son Of The Black Ram, do you?
Thank you!

Thanks, I know the mp3s for this are on soulseek. I believe the band is re-releasing all their EPs/splits as a compilation sometime in the future. It's been rumored for awhile. Arghoslent is having the same thing done later this year.
I've just noticed all the videos of this version of Son of... have been removed/blocked or whatever. I'll upload it whenever I get a second.

@Lost in the Grave Nice; thank you!
Yeah coincidentally I actually found their new official site at weltenfeind.com and their Arghoslent splits album just came out yesterday! And they have a brand new one later this year! Great year for us.

@Vindicator1984 Hey thanks I just picked it up. Sinistrari also has some copies too. I'd assume Gelal will carry future GBK stuff there as well.
