In 2005 drummer Ty Smith left Guttermouth and was replaced by Ryan Farrell. Bass player Kevin Clark departed the following year and founding member Clint Weinrich returned to the group. This lineup recorded the band's tenth album Shave the Planet, released in 2006 by Volcom Entertainment. The album found the band once again using their brand of humorous punk rock to poke fun at a number of subjects. Although Weinrich remains a member of the band, Clark has since rejoined the group and handles most of the touring. In June 2008 Farrell announced that Sheldon had left the band to focus on his family, having recently had a fourth child. The band's official Myspace profile lists Sheldon's replacement as Dave Luckett, with Donald Horne being replaced by Hunter Munich. In December 2008 Adkins announced that the band had returned to Hopeless Records, one of their first record labels, in celebration of their 20th Anniversary, and that Guttermouth is working on a new album. A further line-up change occurred in 2009, when Munich was replaced by Brandon Zinkil.
After a hiatus and further controversy on a 2013 tour, singer Adkins moved to Mexico and reformed the band in 2015.
Guttermouth with Bird Attack Records and Rude Records released Got it Made, a six song EP.
I Have a Dream
Guttermouth Lyrics

Puff was taken out
By snoop dog and Dr. Dre
Hey hey a plane went down today
The entire cast of friends
Found floating in the bay
Fuck yeah, hooray!
Cancer killed the guy
Hey hey, its my lucky day
The Canadian government said that
We can play, eh!
Climb the ladder of success
And you'll have loads of friends
Make damn sure that no one
Hears you when you speak your mind
Smile nicely laugh a little
As you slap that back
I'm so happy, ain't it grand
Warren from the vandals isn't very tan
Just jokin, we love ya, warren
Honk honk, your ska
Skank your way right to lock jaw
Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky day
No fuck no
What you gonna do now
No no no
What you gonna do
No no no
What you gonna do now
No fuck no
Lucky me, I found a magic lamp
Send those Eskimos
To a European camp
Raining down from above
I'll receive myself on Courtney Love
Today must be my lucky day
'Cause you got HIV (not me)
I'll take in a movie
I struck oil under my house
While planting magic beans
I only wish these things
Were more than just a dream
The lyrics of "I Have A Dream" by Guttermouth are a sarcastic and satirical commentary on contemporary society. The song is full of dark humor and twisted imagery, as the singer celebrates a series of unfortunate events and tragedies that happen to other people. The opening lines, "Hey hey, today's my lucky day / Puff was taken out / By snoop dog and Dr. Dre" are a reference to the murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls) and the feud between him and fellow rappers Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
The chorus of the song repeatedly exclaims, "Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky day," reinforcing the irony and sarcasm of the lyrics. The verses also touch on subjects like the cast of Friends drowning, the lead singer of Sugar Ray dying of cancer, and the Canadian government allowing Guttermouth to play their music, all presented in a twisted and absurd way. The final lines of the song, "I only wish these things / Were more than just a dream," add a note of disillusionment to the overall tone.
