H-Town is an American R&B hip hop band that was formed in 1992 by three friends at Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas. The group originally consisted of: Kevin "Dino" Conner, his fraternal twin brother Solomon "Shazam" Conner, and their long-time friend Darryl "G.I." Jackson. They took the name of the group, "H-Town," from the local nickname for the City of Houston.
It took H-Town six years before their first big break came. Dino and Shazam grew up surrounded by musicians and singers. All three band members went to pageants, talent shows and plays before they worked with a local producer. When they began to work with him, he sent their tape to Luther Campbell, who wasn't overly impressed.
The producer intentionally made Campbell miss a flight and dragged him back to the studio where he heard H-Town sing live. Campbell signed the group, joined up with producer Bishop "Stick" Burrell, and they went into the studio to start work on their debut album, Fever for Da Flavor.
On January 28, 2003, 28-year-old Dino Conner and his girlfriend Teshya Rae Weisent had just left a recording studio when their vehicle was struck by a SUV that ran a red light. Both Dino and Teshya Weisent were killed.
Three people witnessed the tragedy, but all fled the scene. One man, Juan Diaz, was later apprehended.
At the time, H-Town was working on what would become their fourth album.
H-Town finally released their reunion album, Imitations of Life, on October 12, 2004. The Remaining members of the group are in the works of making a H-Town Comeback album very soon, it is confirmed on their MySpace page.

Hey, yo, check the verse
Last night I thought to back
When we made good love
Listenin' to some Marvin Gaye
All night long
Now I want that old flame back
Make these moments once again comfort
So won't you, won't you, mmm
Do it for us, babe
Good lovin', body rockin', knockin' boots all night long, yeah
Makin' love until we tire to the break of dawn
But oh, come on, come on and turn the lights down, and let me get on it, yeah
'Cause when I do, just me and you, it'll be so right
A-give me some good love
(Somebody rockin' knockin' da boots)
A-give me some good love
(Somebody rockin' knockin' da boots) somebody rockin', baby, ooh
A-give me some good love
(Somebody rockin' knockin' da boots) that's all I need, I need
A-give me some good love

That's why I always want to be close to you
I'm so addicted, I'm so addicted
To makin' love to you, baby
All night long, baby, all night long, long, long, long
Good lovin', body rockin', knockin' boots all night long, oh, oh
Makin' love until we tire to the break of dawn
But oh, come on, come on and turn the lights down, and let me get on it, uh
'Cause when I do, just me and you, it'll be so right, so right, so right
A-give me some good love

"Knockin' Da Boots" is a song recorded by American R&B group H-Town from their debut album Fever for Da Flavor (1993). The song was written and produced by group members Dino Conner, Shazam Conner, and Darryl Jackson. The song begins with an introduction by Luke of 2 Live Crew, who also served as an executive producer on the album. The song contains smooth and seductive R&B melodies performed by the group, aimed at pleasing the ladies, as they seek to reignite the passion in their previous love interests by recreating past moments of intimacy between the two.
The lyrics of the song describe a couple who had an intimate encounter to the sounds of Marvin Gaye's music and are now trying to reignite the passion in their relationship. The song is full of suggestive lyrics about lovemaking, like "Good lovin', body rockin', knockin' boots all night long," and "Make these moments once again comfort / So won't you, won't you, mmm / Do it for us, babe." While the chorus has the repeated phrase "give me some good love" which describes the craving for romantic love within the couple.
In summary, H-Town's "Knockin' Da Boots" is an R&B slow jam that focuses on the themes of romance and intimacy. The song's soothing melodies, sensuous lyrics, and catchy chorus make it a classic R&B track that has stood the test of time.
