Stille Nacht

Alles schläft, einsam wacht
Nur das traute, hochheilige Paar.
Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar,
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh,
Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh.
Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht!
Durch der Engel Halleluja.
Tönt es laut von fern und nah:
Christ, der Retter ist da! (2x)
Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht!
Gottes Sohn, o wie lacht
Lieb aus deinem göttlichen Mund,
Da uns schlägt die rettende Stund,
Christ, in deiner Geburt. (2x)
In the song "Stille Nacht" (Silent Night), the lyrics depict a peaceful and sacred night. The first verse describes the stillness of the night, with everyone sleeping while a holy couple, presumably Mary and Joseph, keep watch over the baby Jesus. The baby is described as a beautiful child with curly hair, and the lyrics express the hope for the child to sleep in heavenly peace.
In the second verse, the tranquility of the night is disrupted by the announcement of the birth of Christ to the shepherds. The angels sing "Hallelujah" and the news of the Savior's arrival resounds loudly from afar and near. The repetition of the line "Christ, der Retter ist da" (Christ, the Savior is here) emphasizes the significance and joy of Christ's birth.
The third verse speaks directly to Jesus, acknowledging him as God's son and expressing delight at the love that emanates from his divine mouth. The lyrics also acknowledge the pivotal moment of Jesus' birth, declaring it as the hour of salvation.
Overall, the lyrics of "Stille Nacht" celebrate the peacefulness and sanctity of the night of Jesus' birth, while also acknowledging the joy and redemptive power he brings.

Was das wohl an Energie einsparen würde ...

Also vom 16.12.88?

Gut gelesen.
