Well-Mended
Harmful Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I agree to have What is needed something more Give me your well-mended break
This square is circumscribed... by your vanished road that delivers me
I´m sick of unreturned love... but i´m still holdin´on
Couldn´t save my heart enough It´s turned out fine again Everything concurs to produce the desired effect
It´s turned out fine again
This square is circumscribed... by your vanished road that delivers me
I´m sick of unreturned love... but i´m still holdin´on
The lyrics to Harmful's song "Well-Mended" are open to interpretation due to their abstract nature. However, it seems as if the singer is struggling to keep up with their partner who has the opposite traits or behaviours. The singer is requesting that their partner give them a "well-mended break", possibly suggesting that they need time to heal or recover from their relationship. The singer agrees to have whatever is needed for a successful relationship but it seems they are still waiting for their partner to reciprocate their feelings or give them the proper attention.
The lyrics also suggest that the singer has been hurt before, possibly due to unreturned love. It seems like they have been trying to save their heart but to no avail. The square, possibly referring to a metaphorical space within the relationship, is circumscribed by their vanished road, a reference to a path that no longer exists, likely highlighting their current state of confusion and frustration. Despite the hurt, the singer is still holding on, trying to make things work.
In conclusion, "Well-Mended" is a song about the challenges of maintaining a relationship, especially when one partner seems distant or uninvested. It's also about the struggle of healing from past hurt and trying to build something new. It's a poignant portrayal of the complexities of love and the human experience.
