C'est pas la peine
Harry Diboula Lyrics

The lyrics of Harry Diboula's song C'est pas la peine depict a sense of tragic loss and defiance in the face of adversity. The first verse highlights the fact that the singer has been beaten down by the haters and bullies around him. The use of the word "terassés" (terrassed) conveys a sense of being utterly overwhelmed and defeated. Even the singer's lover could not stand up to the onslaught. The second verse conveys a sense of resignation and acceptance to the situation. The singer concedes that there is no perfect world and that the hatred, envy, and jealousy of others were responsible for the downfall.
But in the chorus, the tone changes from a sense of resignation to defiance. The singer takes on the challenge and asks to be thrown into the arena, ready to face whatever comes his way. The repetition of the line, "Jetez-moi dans l'arène" (throw me into the arena) conveys a sense of bravado and determination in the face of the enemy. The final verse reinforces the idea that the singer will not go down without a fight. He refuses to plead for mercy or charity, even if it means being killed. Rather, he will remember and hold onto his defiance.
Overall, the song C'est pas la peine is an empowering and moving representation of the human spirit's refusal to stay down in the face of violence and hatred.
