We're leaving a trial wherever we go,
Our actions are leaving a mark on this world, and we should be aware of what it is.

Pushing so hard that we never slow,
We are too focused on success and often forget to reflect on our journey.

To stop and wonder what we've left For this world to know.
We need to pause and think about what legacy we want to leave behind.

Somewhere deep in my heart I wish I knew for sure What you'd remember me When I'm not here anymore.
I want to be remembered for something meaningful, but I'm not sure what that is yet.

The Lord has a way of healing the past, Of taking your best and making it last.
God can help us make a positive impact with our actions, even if our past wasn't ideal.

I want to leave a legacy of love for you That will add up to more Than this simple man could ever be.
I want to be known for spreading love and kindness, and hope it inspires greater change.

When the hard winds blow, Like a feather we spin.
Life can be unpredictable and challenging, causing us to feel unstable.

If we've fallen asleep, We may waken again to find We've long been judged so blind, so deaf.
We can become complacent in our actions and beliefs, and risk missing the bigger picture.

So when it's all said and done I pray this one thing is left: That I may leave a legacy of love for you That will add up to more Than this simple man could ever be. Lord, help me leave a legacy.
At the end of my life, I hope people remember me for creating positive change and spreading love.

With things unseen, God will bring reality from a dream.
Although we may not see progress or change immediately, our good actions will eventually make an impact.

That's what His Spirit does. Time keeps slipping away With every word that I say. He is the good in us.
God's love and guidance helps us be better and make a positive impact.

And my hopes and desires Are what I want you to see. They're not what I am But what I'd like to be.
I have aspirations to be a better person, and hope people are inspired by that vision.

Jesus died and is risen to redeem mankind. So when all seems lost Keep this is mind:
Even when things seem bleak, there is still hope for redemption and change through faith.

That He has left a legacy of love for you That will add up to more Than any man could ever be.
God's love is greater than any one person or action, and can ultimately lead to greater change.

And if God will shed His grace on me I will have left a legacy.
If I live a life rooted in love and kindness, and guided by faith, I will have left behind a meaningful legacy.
