Some bands are stuck for years. Others manage to immediately set everything ablaze. Horses on Fire resolutely chose the latter. These young foals are stamping with impatience to light your fire. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
HORSES ON FIRE :

What it sounds like? Well, if you listen to the single Draw the line, you’ll hear a dash of Dan Auerbach, a pinch of Black Mountain, but more than anything, you’ll hear a song than when played live, only gets better and better. (“We want to have a live reputation”). If you listen to Glassmade giants, you’ll be introduced with the frontman’s a head voice floating over a groovy southern rock rhythm. If you put on Season of Hate, you’ll be drumming along the rhythm on your steering wheel in a blink. That’s what it sounds like.
They’re all songs that seem to find a balance between brute force and bluesy bridges, between machismo and melody, pop and rock, pathos and a wink, and between, yes indeed, guns and roses. Song you can take to war. Or to a record company. “We’ve been shopping for record labels for weeks”, they say in one voice. “We visited a lot of label companies, but in the end our gut feeling told us that V2, an indie label, would be the best choice. Especially since they already knew all of our song titles and numbers after only one visit. Even though the label is very selective in signing with Belgian bands, we could feel weren’t the only interested party.”
The untitled debut album of Horses on Fire will be released on February 7th, 2012, on V2 records.
Draw the Line
Horses On Fire Lyrics

Girl
You are everything I need
You are mine
Girl
I'm your canvas you're my paint
Draw the line
I get high on you
Inhale your breath
And drink your blood
Girl
You were my number one disease
Until now
Finally
I feel fine
Baby please
Draw the line
Finally
I feel fine
Baby please
Draw the line
...
I
I got lost into your eyes
Watch me drown
You're
In my head and you follow me around
All the time
I go wild on you
It's electrical
You shut me up
And leave me numb
Girl
As a number one disease
You're alright
Finally
I feel fine
Baby please
Draw the line
Finally
I feel fine
Baby please
Draw the line
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
The lyrics to Horses On Fire's song, Draw the Line, portray a highly passionate and obsessive love. The song is written in the perspective of someone who is completely enamored with another person and is willingly giving themselves over to them. The singer addresses their lover, telling them how they are everything they need and that they belong to each other. They use the metaphor of a canvas and paint to express how they are willing to be molded and transformed by their lover.
The lyrics then describe the singer's physical and emotional addiction to the other person. They use language that is highly sensual and perhaps even animalistic to explain how much they are willing to consume their lover. However, they then acknowledge that this all-encompassing love was also at some point a disease, and that finally, they feel fine. This could be interpreted as the singer realizing that they have reached a point where they are willing to stand up for themselves and set boundaries in their relationship, represented by the repeated request to "draw the line."
Overall, the lyrics to Draw the Line are a complex depiction of how deeply one person can love another and the power dynamics that can arise from such intense emotions. The language used by Horses On Fire is poetic and evocative, creating a haunting and memorable song that showcases their talent for storytelling through music.
