@@burneraccount2611 I wouldn't call it Progressive. That's a filthy word to me it was the progressive who destroyed Native American civilization. It is a progressive who said Go West Young Man it is the progressive who thinks people who live in the wilderness are a bunch of stupid Savages. Yeah that's a sore spot for me. The modern Progressive thinks real liberalism is conservative. Ever read John Locke? That is what liberalism is about. It's not about big government it's about returning to Mother Earth.

I am mestizo, and I realized very young that what the bastards did to me as a Native American they did to me first as a Native European. Aurora is very much the true meaning of the word Savage. She is a siren who calls us back home. Aurora is not the first person to think these things, and she certainly won't be the last.

"He asks if he's the only one
To truly balance between the Earth and the Sun
In and yo is Nature's Road
But he fears it may not save your soul
A tear comes to his eye as he watches the birds fly
Locked into this so-called modern way of life
Because he knows it only brings pain and strife
Only when it's too late do people realize
Can you catch the wind to save you from your sin?
Can you live and die to become a butterfly?
If you think you know then you better think my friend
Because Jesus is calling us back to Eden again."

i'm also neurodivergent like aurora and her lyrics really helps me understand that there's actually nothing wrong with me at all. i can't control how people react to me, i can only control how i see myself.

(you can cry
To where the ocean is bigger
Become a part of the river
You can cry, you can cry, you can cry
Can you let the river run wild?)

give in or be yourself

@rxrdreamer7158

[Verse 1]
Hold your hands onto your chest
And tell me what you find
Out of you, a sparrow comes
And sees without its eyes

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Don't forget who you are even though you are whole
You are caught in wire and soon it will burst

[Chorus 1]
You can cry
Drinking your eyes
Do you miss the sadness when it's gone? (Gone)
And you let the river run wild (Gone)
And you let the river run wild

[Verse 2]
I'm a shadow, I am cold
And now I seek for warmth
Stitch your skin onto my skin
And we won't be alone

[Pre-Chorus]
Don't forget who you are even though you're relieved
Like a bird in the night, your emotions deserve to be freed

[Chorus 2]
You can cry
Drinking your eyes
Do you miss the sadness when it's gone? (Gone)
And you let the river run wild (Gone)
And you let the river run wild
You can cry (You can cry)
Drinking your eyes
I don't miss the sadness when it's gone (Gone)
And the feeling of it makes me smile (Gone)
As I let the river run wild

[Bridge]
You can cry, you can cry, you can cry
To where the ocean is bigger
Become a part of the river
You can cry, you can cry, you can cry
And you let the river run wild

[Chorus 2]
You can cry
(You can cry, you can cry, you can cry)
Drinking your eyes
Do you miss the sadness when it's gone? (Gone)
(You can cry, you can cry, you can cry)
And you let the river run wild (Gone)
And you let the river run wild
You can cry
(You can cry, you can cry, you can cry)
Drinking your eyes
(To where the ocean is bigger)
I don't miss the sadness when it's gone (Gone)
And the feeling of it makes me smile (Gone)
As I let the river run wild

[Outro]
You can cry
Drinking your eyes
Do you miss the sadness when it's gone?
And you let the river run wild
And you let the river run wild

Still, to this very day, this song is so inspiring.

From that first “…you can cry…” in the first chorus, and “…LET the River run wild…”, gives me goose bumps.

But, when Aurora releases the clippers…boy, it’s so powerful.

My Mom and sisters-in-law recently passed away 4 months apart from one another. I really started to question life and sank into depression. Being an introvert I didn’t know how to release the pain of our family’s loss.

I shut out everyone around me, thinking this will help me cope. Of course, it didn’t. Just compounded it all. I’ve always felt out of place. From growing up in school and into adulthood.

That one day that I came across this amazing young woman singing at the 2015 NOBEL PEACE show doing a song I had never heard before, RUNAWAY….I was in utter surprise!!i couldn’t watch the video enough times. It was the freedom she expressed that, some how, made me feel free. And, OF COURSE…that ethereal voice. For the first time in years…and, even MORE, since my Mom and Kanani passed on, did I feel like my heart was floating…which, somehow, lightened the heaviness from the hurt of the moment

After watching that video AT LEAST 50x straight 😁, I had to research more songs from her. In hopes that this wasn’t the only tune that was great.

As all of the other WARRIORS and WEIRDOS know…Aurora does not do JUST ONE great song!

I found another excellent tune, THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD. It was the VEVO a cappella version. And it almost got me. The masterclass lyrics, the harmonies (and I have to say…Aurora has had some very VERY good musicians and backing singers that really complimented her voice. From her early start before the first album was released…up to the present day with the beautiful, Silja, and solo, in the pocket on the drums, Magnus. There from the beginning, Magnus is one person I’d love to hear stories of all the growth of Aurora, and her music. It must be pretty amazing to have watched it all unfold and be a part of it all thus far.)

As beautifully haunting that song was when I first listened to it (and another 25-30x that eve), I still kept pushing down the tears and tried to not let it out. It was how we boys, my two brothers and I, were raised. No crying in that house. We’d get backhanded until we stopped. Do you know how hard that is to do?

But, in all my years, I mastered the facade. Nobody knew what happened behind the mask.

It wasn’t until I happened to view another Aurora vid/song, “The River”, that l learned that letting my emotions flow out in these times I was experiencing WILL lighten the heaviness in my heart and, only then, can the true healing process begin.

Man, I had tears flowing I didn’t realize I had stored, locked up from years past.
The more I kept digging through YouTube for anything Aurora (songs, interviews, documentaries, etc), the more and more I learned just how special this young wahine is and, just how much we are blessed to have her presence during these times we’re all experiencing.

Her interviews, imho, are sooooo fascinating. She is brilliantly witty, impeccable and sense of humor that is quick as a whip…. And yet, the common thread connecting every single one of her interviews is her genuine, unabashed personality sprinkled throughout with warm-hearted tenderness.

Her speaking voice is has never fit anyone better than Aurora herself. It’s a perfect tone. Whenever I hear her speak, my heart and mind feels so calm and WANT to hear her message. I hope all that made some kind of sense😁🎼

I’ve never felt more thankful for an artist and their gift of song.

I have so much Aloha for Aurora for helping me heal through her music and for just being herself. Its been such an inspiring little journey with her so far.

I hope one day I’ll be able to see her in concert and possibly meet her to personally thank her.

I don’t think she’ll be coming out to Hawai’i, sadly…so, I’ll have to plan and save up to hopefully catch her in the states. Bucket list.

Aurora isn’t odd or weird. She’s the outward expression of the inner monologue that most of us have forgotten and can no longer hear.
That’s why her music resonates.
That’s why we get goosebumps when we listen.
We have become jaded. We have forgotten.
This is why I truly love her and her music.
She has brought me back to myself.
Thank you Aurora.

@burneraccount2611

Aurora is from the most-progressive nation on Europe. She has NO fascist associations.

@majakrapec6749

The most accurate description I have read so far! Couldn't agree more

@@burneraccount2611 Aurora reaches Many Spirits, reminding us who we are. It is by far more Noble to stand for something, than it is to stand against something. Be leery of the Anti-fascist for to be Anti-fascist one must become a fascist themselves. Better to "exist for love." Be free, be yourself, don't surrender to group think, don't be afraid to stand alone.

I hear many people say "Aurora does this and Aurora demands that." And I think it's unfortunate that so Many reduce her song to the mundane, by pasting her insight onto their own political agendas. This isn't about Politics, it's a quest to find self by loosing self to the voice of the spirit, the voice of the heart, the voice of the love. The True Self beyond society's norms.

Let your spirit fly free, it isn't about you, our lives are not about ourselves, your life isn't about you, it's about your relationship with existence.

so you dare to generalize others - eh, factically you are normal, mentally stable person. be sure, I will never forget about my past and who I was. it is impossible for me to forget about something such important.
