05 Your Worst Is The Best
I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

So arrogant
Your worst is the best
It's so easy
To make a fucked-up mistake
And walk away
Just like it was
Or move away
Miles between us

If I ever forget
It was never so perfect
Such a boring story told
You make me feel so old
But confident

So arrogant
Your worst is the best
It's so easy
To make a fucked-up mistake
And walk away
Just like it was

Or move away
Miles between us

Hang on the falling edge of the reason
Everyone is upside-down and inside-out
The bed is messy, the keys are gone.

In a perfect world,
The perfect place is with you.

Under delicate breath...

In a perfect world, where perfect place is with you
The truth is, the world is without love,
In a perfect world, the perfect place is with you
The truth is, the world is without love.

In a perfect world, the perfect place is with you
The truth is, the world is without love,
In a perfect world, where perfect place is with you
The truth is, the world is without...

This will always have a deep place in my heart. I actually quoted the chorus in my wife's eulogy last year. Thank you for this song.

I remember looking thru the US college radio charts in CMJ around 2004 or so, and seeing this band's name showing up in the charts at like 200 different stations. At the time I assumed they were just some bad college band like Staind or Creed, because those guys also charted everywhere.
