en el club de golf.
Veo madurar manzanas y a ti...
sonríes... burbujas,
yo llevo burbujas...
pero en la vena.
Se arruinó mi familia,
No pagaba las cuotas,
y me dejaste tú.
He saltado la verja,
me gustan tus quejas.
yo llevo burbujas...
pero en la vena.
Es tu cumpleaños,
me consuela saber,
que habrán llegado marchitas,
las flores que envié.
No ríes... no lloras,
sólo hablas... a solas.
¡Qué flores tan raras!
The lyrics of Ilegales' song "La chica del club de golf" tell the story of a man who recognizes a woman at a golf club and falls in love with her. He describes her as mature and full of energy, while he is filled with the excitement of partying and drugs. However, their love is doomed from the start as the man's family is ruined and kicked out of the club due to non-payment of fees. The woman leaves him, and he is left alone to deal with his addiction.
The chorus of the song talks about the remnants of their love, as the man visits the club and reminisces about their time together. He sees the club's changing rooms as a place of destruction for their relationship, where he left a towel and an empty bottle of rum. He also talks about how the woman went to Italy, and he tried to respond to her letters but never did. Finally, he sends her a birthday gift of flowers, but they arrive wilted.
The song is a powerful exploration of love, addiction, and the difficulties of maintaining a relationship in the face of adversity. It highlights how love can be so fleeting, like bubbles that burst, leaving nothing but remnants behind. Through its poignant lyrics, the song encourages us to cherish the moments we have with those we care about and to be mindful of the choices we make that can lead to destruction.
