Fighter
Impade Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You wake up thinking you're safe from misery and pain of the world
But you hide from yourself that you're away from reality
For sure we don't exist as what we are or believe to be
And forget the things you promised me to reach

But I'll stand against the ones who dare to cross my way
Don't refuse x3
To be

A fighter!
For good!

A fighter!
For will!

A fighter!
For power!

A fighter!
For pain!

And still here I'm trying to get by
But despite all that had befallen me I'm still alive
Nevermind my life I'm glad for what I have
To find your goal in life you should search far, far away

But I'll stand against the ones who dare to cross my way
Don't refuse x3
To be

A fighter!
For good!

A fighter!
For will!

A fighter!
For power!

A fighter!
For pain!

The world out there hasn't changed
So I can't leave, because I believe
There is a greater good
I must stay, because I'm...

A fighter!
For good!

A fighter!
For will!

A fighter!
For power!

A fighter!
For pain!

Fighter x4

Overall Meaning

The song "Fighter" by Impade is a powerful anthem which speaks about the struggles of life and the importance of fighting against the odds. The opening lines suggest that one may try to hide away from harsh realities and promises made to reach a certain goal. The message here is that we often deny the truth of our circumstances to protect ourselves from the disappointments that follow. However, the song asserts that the only way to grow is by standing up and facing our challenges.

The chorus repeats the title "Fighter" four times, each time followed by different reasons to fight: "For good! For will! For power! For pain!" The lyrics indicate that life is unpredictable and can bring many obstacles, but it is up to us to stand firm and fight for what is right. The bridge continues with the idea that life can throw us many curveballs, but we have to keep moving forward and strive to find our purpose. The final lines affirm the singer's commitment to staying true to this way of life, steadfast and unmovable.

Overall, the song serves as an empowering reminder that even when life seems unbearable, we must remain strong and persevere. It encourages us to fight for what matters to us, and to never give up on our dreams.

DeadlyD8 is hilarious

Ahhh yes Fighter, the one class where the sheer amount of 10 pages of feats allows you to bonk people...creatively.

Nonat1s

But do you bonk their legs?? Bonk their heads?? Maybe bonk them REALLY hard!! Or even bonk multiple times!!! THE CREATIVITY IS LIMITLESS!!

kurt streitenfeld

I am more of a 1e player then 2e but I always liked the vast amount of options when building a Fighter, despite how simple actually playing one is. As building characters is a lot of fun in itself for me.

Boyan Penev

One day, you will be able to bonk them for their improvement :)

Jonathan Hirst

Why...?! Why did I read "bonk" as "boink"?! Now I can't stop thinking about the fighter class and its 10 pages of feats that allows you to creatively boink things...

Kryptonian Guest

@Jonathan Hirst Sounds more like a bard.

One pro you kind of forgot to list is that for several of those builds, you don't need a lot of feats (plus the 2 flexible feats per day of the fighter help even more) so it makes them prime for archetype

Another con for sword and board is your shield's durability. I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be, but it does feel like having trained crafting and the quick repair feat is almost required if you wanna make use of shield block!
