Overall Meaning

The lyrics to In Dreams' song Lie to Me speak about a person's intense desire for someone who doesn't reciprocate their feelings in the same way. I agree that she is a incredibly gifted and powerful performer. I've seen her live 3 times and each time I've seen her has been better than the time before.

But her album is truly remarkable too. So much variety and musicianship and partnerships with some really big names and talented musicians. The album should/ probably will take her even higher.

West Virginia Waltz, Silver Dollar and Far Across the Sea were particularly amazing recordings. All good live too, but I think these in particular show she can prove something in the recording studio too.

Every once in a while a song hits right. I’ve come back to this 20-30 times in the last 2 weeks. She got it right. Good and heartfelt talent in these folks… love too the accompanying guitarist, playing like his life depends on it, and like he doesn’t want to let her down. Just cool.

i've watched this video a thousand times and just really want to give some love to her lead guitarist on this one. That guy (whoever it is) slayed her accompaniment harder than anyone else has been able to. If she ever decides to create a band she needs to call this man.
