Sanctuary
J.N.H Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Times are tough, frustration
Need relief, medication
Gone to far, intoxication
Fight the urge, of temptation
Miles ago, no destination
Is a real, hallucination
Lose the dream, of stagnation
Feel so lost, desperation
Sanctuary
Sanctuary
Sanctuary
Sanctuary
It's much too close, contamination
Love and pain, and deviation
Just suck it all, ejaculation
It's much to late, for damnation

Sanctuary
When I was young,
My mother told me,
She said "Son,
Someday everything's gonna be alright.
There's no escape,
There's no salvation,
It's much to dark, for revelation."

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to J.N.H's song Sanctuary represent the struggles and hardships faced by individuals in their daily lives. The first few lines of the song indicate that times are tough and people often turn to medication or intoxication in order to find relief. However, the urge to give in to temptation and escape reality is ultimately fought against by the individual. The line "Miles ago, no destination" suggests a feeling of being lost and directionless in life, potentially leading to hallucinations and desperation.

The chorus, consisting solely of the word "Sanctuary" repeated multiple times, is both a plea and a reminder to find a safe haven or refuge from the chaos and pain. The second half of the song reiterates the idea that escaping from one's problems through unhealthy means is not the way to find sanctuary. The line "It's much too close, contamination" implies that negative influences are too close for comfort and need to be avoided. The final verse, with its references to the darkness and lack of salvation, highlights the need for sanctuary in a world that can seem bleak and hopeless.

The treadmill part doesn’t bother me at all other than the guilt I feel from not using mine. 😁 I admire the fact that you didn’t use the excuse of “ I’m shooting a video in the only room with natural light and I couldn’t possibly walk on the treadmill while shooting.” Kudos to you Matt👍🏻
One question, besides sauna emf information, do you have another channel or website with information about how to lower the Emf’s in the home? I know there are other sites out there talking about this but they are usually pushing a product. I love the non biased opinions you have and are willing to share with the rest of us. I bought the whole body meter that you recommend in one of your videos. I tested my JNH sauna yesterday and was shocked to see 10.23 volts or 10,230 milliVolts registering while I stood inside with the sauna turned on. I immediately disassembled the sauna and am trying to figure out what to do with it. Any suggestions? BTW, that meter is great! Thanks for mentioning it in one of your videos.

Hi Matt, do you have any videos on how to care for your sauna? We are getting one in a couple of weeks and was wondering the does and don’t for first time users.

Laure Zayas

The video is great! The treadmill was not distracting at all. Thanks Matt for ALL that you do! 😊

Too Odd

I love the smell of cedar, but it gives me migraines over time, so does heavily scented pine, so it does make a difference.

Love the addition of the treadmill, and the low level activity is so beneficial for you!

Thanks for the feedback... I don't think I'll keep doing these, makes me dizzy just looking at it to upload! lol
