Joey was raised in a musical home; weaned on styles ranging from neo- jazz pioneers like Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder to prog-rock groups such as Yes and ELP. Being a drummer is what really opened his mind up to intricacies of latin and jazz-funk rhythms. All this education including his love of electronic music somehow finds it's way into Joey's music.
".....I have always mainly been a drummer at heart but i remember the night I fell in love with synths" says Joey. "My dad took us to see Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Keith Emerson's monstrous hybrid Moog totally blew me away. Before the show started a promo video about The Art Of Noise was shown. I never imagined that a decade later I would be working on stuff with JJ Jeczalik of AON..." Joey's project with JJ was soon cut short as JJ was forced into retiring from the industry and closing hi Axiomattic imprint due to substantial hearing loss. Nevertheless Joey went on to produce tracks for labels such as Om Records, Cosmic Flux Musiq, Sony/550 Music, Nsoul, Warner/Sunburn along with remixes for artists such as Everything But the Girl, Amel Larrieux, and legendary jazz drummer Chico Hamilton.

What but I barely begun
Let me talk
I want it bad as ever
I know it’s now or never
Success gonna make em jealous
Had to watch niggas moves shit made me clever
Homies jumped on my ass shit made me better
Niggas live and they die from that heavy metal
When u start gettin money you can’t never settle
Get it myself triple my wealth nigga the fuck is you talking bout
And if it’s bout paper or moves to get on then nigga let’s sit down and talk about it
We can sit down plan it out plot about it
Execution and focus I thought about it
When it come to them numbers and if it’s to low then sorry my nigga I’m walking out it
Walking out walking out
I was just broke but I’m ballin now
But s/o my niggas who held me down
It ain’t too many real niggas still around
Too many real niggas behind me say labels should sign me so know I can’t let em down
They see that I’m tweaking beat gave me a reason so nigga don’t ask me to settle down
See how i drip so she wetter now
Buss in her face yeah I wet her down
Whip it out she put her head around
Had to see if she had the best head in town
Nothing to eat so my stomach was weak I got to it so I’m feeling better now
Apartment back then seen mice and roaches but glad that a nigga live better now
I want it bad as ever
I know it’s now or never
Success gonna make em jealous
Had to watch niggas moves shit made me clever
Homies jumped on my ass shit made me better
I been bussing my ass to cop a bezel
Niggas live and they die from that heavy metal
When u start gettin money you can’t never settle
