Obsession
J. Pharos Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Its early in the morning
And my heart is really lonely
Just thinkin 'bout you baby
Gots me twisted in the head
And I don't know how to take it
But its driving me so crazy
I don't know if its right
I'm tossin' turning in my bed
Its five o'clock in the morning
And I still can't sleep
Thinkin 'bout your beauty it makes me
Weep
I'm feeling hopeless in my heart
I don't know what to do I think I'm in love
Baby

Amor, no es amor (if this ain't love)
Than what am I feeling
What am I doing wrong
Amor, no es amor (if this ain't love)
Its just an illusion that I have in my heart

Now I know you're not my lady but I'm tryin' to make this right
I don't know what to do I'm going out of my mind
So baby if you let me kick it witchu
Then well maybe we could ride together we cud do it all night
We could do this all night now I don't care if you got a man
Baby I wish you'd understand
'Cause I know he can't love you right, quite like I can
Its five o'clock in the morning
And I still can't sleep
Thinkin' 'bout your beauty it makes me
Weep
I'm feeling hopeless in my heart
I don't know what to do I think I'm in love

I love the way you freak it like that
I love the way you freak it like that
I love the way you freak it like that
Its an obsession

Hold up let me dream
Shorty got me feelin' serene
Where my candy, where my cream
Got your boy feel less supreme
Hold up wait a minute baby you so damn independent
Loving everything your representing
Got a lot of money, I love to spend it
And that's what's up and I don't care what people scream
No I'm blessin' when I'm stressin'
My superfly beauty queen
I'm gonna keep it saucy
'Cause my ma know how I do, mi corazón belongs to you

Amor, no es amor (if this ain't love)
Than what am I feeling
What am I doing wrong
Amor, no es amor (if this ain't love)
Its just an illusion that I have in my heart

As far as that black Egyptian in the thumbnail.

When you see Egyptian Pharaohs like Menuhotep II portrayed with black skin is that how they actually looked? Or is that a depiction of them after death?

"Black is a color often misinterpreted in Egyptian art because of the modern-day association of black with evil. Images of Tutankhamun, found in his tomb, sometimes depict him with black skin and these were originally associated with death and grief by the early archaeologists interpreting the finds; although the association with death would be correct, and grief did accompany the loss of anyone in ancient Egypt as today, a proper interpretation would be the association of Tutankhamun in death with Osiris and the concept of rebirth and resurrection."

CORRECTION: The Shemai figure mentioned was NOT from the 8th Dynasty based on the actual article from the University of Jena, headed by the archeologist, Alejandro Jimenez-Seranno in the video above.

Correct Information based on actual research article:
The study mentioned in your video is based on the undisturbed remains of Shemai, brother of Sarenput II, a Nomarch head of a nome or Governor of the province of Elephantine (located at the southern border of Upper Egypt with Lower Nubia) under the rule of Pharaoh Senusret II. The remains were uncovered in 2017 by the University of Jena in the Qubbet el-Hawa, area of Aswan in Upper Egypt (Southern Egypt near Sudan).

Other details reveal Shemai was the son of Khema, a Nomarch of Elephantine under Pharaoh Amenhamat II. Shemai was also the nephew of the Nomarch Seranput I who was the chief trading agent of merchandise from Nubia under Pharaoh Senusret I of the 12th Dynasty.

Has someone bothered contacting Alejandro Jimenez-Seranno in the video to find out and obtain the actual documentation to this research that indicates from which Dynasty Shemai was from???

We need to go beyond wikipedia and be more engaged in actual scholarly peer reviewed research articles.

NO, The Dna evidence you speak of only goes back to the Greek period and the areas where the Hyksos lived, well after the building of the dynasties, which was far north in Egypt. Even the scientist that did the test said so.

The ancients said their Gods and Ancestors came from the south of Egypt.

It was not a mixed kingdom in its early and middle stages. Even the Egyptians showed themselves different to the Libyans and middle easterners. (Always brown and black) Like all africans.

And Nubia is not Ethiopia.

You should actually learn history before spouting nonsense.

Can you provide some science info about the likely physical makeup of the earliest North Africans?

As far as what the original Berbers looked like. The Berbers were the original people of the Canary Islands. Leonardo Torriani drew paintings of these people in the 1500s. His depictions don't show Black people.

Some DNA info:

"The Guanches analyzed by the team carried mitochondrial lineages such as J1c3, H2a, U6b, L3b1a, and T2c1d2 that are common across West Eurasia and/or North Africa."

@dogons2k12

This deals with North Africa further back.

"The origin and history of the population of North Africa are different from the rest of the continent and are more similar to the demographic history of regions outside Africa: the Middle East, Europe or Asia. Palaeontological remains exist that prove the existence of humans in the region more than 300,000 years ago. In any case..."

My second comment regards the need of European Archeologist need to maintain the since among Whites both (American & European) of superiority over African, Asian and Native peoples or Hispanics and take this view all the way back 12,000-100,000 years of human history! I am going to give the audience 1 example, here we go 500-800 years ago the Chinese create gun powder through the use of alchemy or chemistry as we call it today, in their ancient wisdom and the need to unite the country of China under one Emperor, Chinese Warlords fought for 100-300 years for control over all of China. During this period the Chinese invented the following
1. Pistols
2. Rifles
3. Rocket Launchers
4. Rockets
5. The RPG
6. A hand-grenade
7. The cannon
So, along comes Marco Polo and he steals the secret of the “ Black Powder “ and returns to Europe where they master the art of creating firearms! Notice that history in the West keeps stating that the Chinese DID NOT understand what they had created, again built in racism, right in your face! The Koreans had the first functional Tank and Battleship 😂, the Koreans needed it to fight off the Chinese and Japanese over 600 years ago😂😂😂😂😂😂

I absolutely in the most sarcastic manner love how after discovering that this mummy was nubian, after stating that skin color or race doesn't matter even though by perception it does, they end by stating that the period in which he lived was a decline in Egyptian culture. Almost to say that this only happened due to the decline of Egyptian culture, whereby, discounting the potential accomplishments of Nubians. Seriously? Hahahahaha, so ridiculous and unnecessary.

laapache1

He was Egyptian

H

Yes his Egyptian kingdom/culture was being taken over by Nubian.

Archeologist Vanessa Davies has done a lot of work on this particular subject, including her exhibit titled “How Egyptologists Removed Ancient Egypt from Africa”. There are many more studies and documentaries under key words “Nubian,” “Ancient Egypt,” and “Ancient Nubian History”. The clip in this video is from the documentary by Alejandro Jiménez-Serrano, an Egyptologist at the University of Jaen in Spain; who discovered the true identity of a high society Egyptian by the name of Shemai.

Rigger Mortis.

Ancient Egypt went from Predynastic (ca. 4300-3000 B.C.E.) - ROMAN and BYZANTINE EMPIRE (ca. 30 B.C.E. - 642 C.E.).....Thousands of years !! This generalization is completely inaccurate, and Vanessa Davies likes to leave a lot of history out of her findings.

R B

@Rigger Mortis.
Vanessa Davies was correct on how youse people tried to remove Egypt from Africa.
And you're doing it again, right now.

S T

Ancient Egypt was ALWAYS related with Mediterranean world civilizations. Of course they had contact with the Nubians in the south but there was no such thing as “ Africans “ in ancient times.

I wish we would stop caring so much about their opinion and stop trying to get them to validate weather in Egypt was Africa or not, we need to encourage some of our children to become anthropologist archaeologist historians and so the great research can continue so that we can find out for ourselves what was and is and what is to be.

Nature’s Precision

Honestly, the information is out there and subconsciously those people already know who they are. You can feel it and there is no explanation needed or validation necessary. You will either be or not. And “those-nots” will be tirelessly trying to prove to be something they aren’t while those who “just are”, will “just be”.

There are Black Anthropologists, Black Archaeologists, Black Historians…and Black Computer Scientists, who contributed to bringing this information to the forefront via computers. No more relying on false information from poor misleading written history books!
