In 2009, Evancho independently released her debut album, "Prelude to a Dream". The album was released with just 4,000 printings. Because of digital success following her appearance on the fifth season of America's Got Talent, the album charted in the 121st position of the Billboard 200 albums, and the 2nd position of the Billboard Classical albums chart. Following a whirlwind of media coverage after her second place finish on the show, Evancho released her debut holiday EP, "O Holy Night", in November 2010. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 albums, and number one on the Billboard Classical albums, and later achieved Platinum status. Evancho is the youngest solo artist ever to go Platinum in the U.S.
In June 2011, Evancho's debut studio album, "Dream With Me", was released, and charted at number two on the Billboard 200 albums, and number one of the Billboard Classical albums. The album would later achieve "Gold" status, and sell in excess of 500,000 copies.
In late 2011, Evancho's sophomore album, "Heavenly Christmas", was released exclusively through American retailer Walmart. The album debuted at number one on the Classical album chart, becoming her fourth consecutive work to do so. It also debuted in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 albums.

D'autres façons de se quitter
Quelques éclats de verre
Auraient peut-être pu nous aider
Dans ce silence amer
J'ai décidé de pardonner
Les erreurs qu'on peut faire
À trop s'aimer
En moi souvent te réclamait
Presque comme une mère
Tu me bordais, me protégeais
Tous mes sourires, tous mes secrets
The lyrics of Jackie Evancho's Je T'aime is a song about love that is not perfect but still true. The song talks about the different ways the couple could have ended their relationship but ultimately decides to forgive each other's mistakes because they loved too much. The beginning of the song talks about how the singer could have ended things with their partner through violent means, but decides to forgive instead. The singer acknowledges the little girl in them that always longed for their partner's love and protection, almost like a mother. And yet, they also confess to stealing something so intimate and precious like "blood" that they were not meant to share.
In the middle part of the song, the singer speaks about trusting their partner with all their secrets and even those that only a brother would know. They danced in a house made of stone while Satan watched, perhaps as a metaphor for the challenges and temptations that surround a relationship. They speak about the desire for war between their bodies that find peace in each other's embrace.
Overall, the song depicts a love that is passionate and all-encompassing, but not without its flaws and challenges. In spite of these imperfections, the singer declares love for their partner as a soldier or a movie star, a wolf or a king, like a man they aren't.
