Jackson and His Computer Band is an IDM artist signed to Warp Records consisting of Jackson Fourgeaud, a 26-year-old Parisian composer. His style has been described as "a style orgy, a psychedelic celebration of conflict."
After his acid house debut on Pumpking records in 1996, Sound Of Barclay released the "Sense Juice" and "Gourmet EPs" under the name Jackson & His Computer Band. Even then, these thumping filtered house cuts sounded weirdly different to the prevailing "French Touch" style of Daft Punk and Cassius, leading to articles in NME, I-D, Jockey Slut and the like. On the back of this acclaim, Jackson was commissioned to remix an array of artists, sprinkling his fucked-up magic over Femi Kuti, Air, Vanessa Paradis, Freeform Five and Jean Jacques Perrey and Luke Vibert's forthcoming "Moog Acid". No one has yet remixed Jackson. This year he's DJed at parties in London (everywhere from The Social to Harrod's) and recently terrorised the idyllic Territoires Electroniques festival in Aix-en-Provence. Perhaps you caught his excellent DJ set on Radio 1's Breezeblock show in March. Now Jackson is working on a killer live show which will be unveiled around the time of Smash's release in September.

Jackson is the name of a little band out of San Antonio, Texas. Chad W. Eaton (Electric Guitar, Vocals), Cameron Feil (Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals), Daniel Palmer (Bass Guitar), Andrew Vespia (Electric Guitar), Robert Betts (Drums), Mills Ligon (Manager) and a variety of visiting musicians fill the Jackson lineup.
They describe their sound as "A little bit country, a little bit Rock and Roll."

Jackson O'Connell-Barlow (stage names: Iguanadon, Grape-a-Don, Nate Kukla, and Mr. Pennsylvania) makes up one half of the duo Grand Buffet along with Jarrod Weeks (stage names: M-Dog, Lord Grunge, Matt Kukla, Fred Durts). A hip-hop duo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their music is a unique brand of humorous, often satirical rap.

There's another band called Jackson. Their 6 song self-titled debut release came out in spring of 2003. It's somewhat of an all-star punk-and-rock outfit comprised of CHRIS SHIFLETT (FOO FIGHTERS, ME FIRST & THE GIMME GIMMES, NO USE FOR A NAME), SCOTT SHIFLETT (FACE TO FACE), and PETE PARRADA (FACE TO FACE, SAVES THE DAY). They also released a 7" record called All the Way in late 2003. The band isn't full-time as some members are obligated to other bands. Their sound has been described as Weezer meets Teen Idols. Jackson have since changed their name to Jackson United

Hearing over from the week-end
I been thinkin' bout home
Lord knows I can neva make it easy on myself
But that's alright, I learned a lot from the more that I done
I made a few wrong turns with a couple choice words
But I know I'm not the only one
But I know soon I'mma catch on fire
And I know a few wrong don't make it right
But when I get on the mic got me feelin' like
But I bet I'mma catch that beat
Momma said neva sweat, daddy
Neva said avoid the next best thang
Oh oh-oh-oh-oh, oh... oh
I wouldn't change a thing, no no
Everythin' is alright, alright, yeah yeah yeah
It's all in the words we sing, oh yeah
We gon' sing it all night, all night, yeah yeah yeah
I went and got my kicks up
Started thinkin' on my own
They sayn' "hey, Mr. Bigster"
Who do ya think you are?
Oh, no, but I move to my rhythm
Bounce to my steps
They won't know what hit 'em
When I hit' em with the left
Bounce for a minute, I was livin' outta debt
And now I'm on the mic like check
1 2 move, get out the way
Hit 'em with the blues, but they ain't here to stay
Whole new tune that'll make yo hips sway
Booty shit, earthquake, goodness sake
My hit's so good down south
A little bit of wrong, but it feels so right
It's driven us home
Get a piece of mind now darling
I wouldn't change a thing, no no
Everythin' is alright, alright, yeah yeah yeah
It's all in the words we sing, oh yeah
We gon' sing it all night, all night, yeah yeah yeah
I wouldn't change a thing, no
Everythin' is alright, alright, yeah yeah
It's all in the words we sing, oh yeah
We gon' sing it all night, all night
No I wouldn't change a thing, no
I wouldn't change a thing, no no
Everythin' is alright, alright, yeah yeah yeah
It's all in the words we sing, yeah
We gon' sing it all night, all night, yeah yeah yeah
The lyrics of Jackson's song "Wouldn't Change a Thing" convey a message of self-acceptance and celebration of individuality. The song begins with the singer expressing that he had a bad morning, but he realizes that it's all right since he has learned from his past experiences. He acknowledges that he has made mistakes, but he is not the only one who has made them. He believes that he will catch on fire soon since he is doing what he likes.
The lyrics then take a reflective turn wherein the singer talks about his journey of self-discovery. He talks about moving to his own rhythm, bouncing to his steps, and hitting them with the left. He then claims that his music is so good down south that it makes hips sway like an earthquake. He also makes a reference to driving us home, implying that he is leading people towards the celebration of their individuality.
The chorus is an affirmation of self-acceptance and the celebration of being oneself. The singer claims that he wouldn't change a thing and everything is alright. He emphasizes that it's all in the words they sing, which means that their music is expressive of their thoughts and their individuality. The song closes with a repetition of the chorus, reinforcing the primary message of the song.
