He spent 2016 deploying funky, percolating bass lines on the road for indie pop outfit TOPS. He recorded and engineered the last two albums for labelmate Homeshake at his now-defunct home Montreal studio and venue, Drones Club. He has collaborated with cherished LA weirdo Drugdealer as well as Montreal's Bernardino Femminielli, all in addition to fronting the masterfully hooky power pop band Sheer Agony.

I almost cried when I was watching this video. I think he was beyond exhausted and in pain. He didn't want to leave off stage until he finished the show. He was always professional. I miss Michael Jackson. I hope he is in a much better place than this messed up planet.

To those that aren't aware what's going on here: Michael had lupus. Of the symptoms of this illness, fatigue, severe pain, swelling and inflammation of the joints occur. This is what Michael was experiencing here. Yes, the "James Brown collapses" are part of the show, but he had trouble getting up and you can see when he rises the painful grimace on his face. He literally worked himself to death, poor baby.

Instead they told him to just get up ( He said he Hated Touring) I see why... But him being the consummate performer,he would have never gone out on stage & let himself get to the point of collapse. he valued aesthetic in a concert & he would not have liked how that looked. The enjoyment of his fans was too valuable to him for him be onstage passing out b/c of his health:)

I was in the 4th row at one of his concerts at the Capital Center in Landover Maryland. The Bad Tour. I have to say I am 53 years old and I have seen many performers and Michael Jackson was by far the Greatest Entertainer to ever perform.Truely Blessed by GOD with his talents.

I saw opening night at Dodger stadium of the Victory TOur when I was 13 or 15 or something, - a gift from Dad for Christmas, and a total surprise and about the best thing in the whole of the world for a 13 year old girl at that time. I was not able to drive yet, though, so I assumed that the other ticket was for him, but he said i could bring a friend, and I didn't know what to do ? How would we get there? Then my Mom, who is not at all inclined to music or dancing - AT ALL I SAY - displayed a very rare enthusiasm for the idea of watching a musician perform, and Dad said I should take her..

A teen girl attending a concert with her mother probably should have been more awkward than the night I spent at the Back to Bass Tour with her as an adult , but while that night was a bit uncomfortable for me because she was watching ME enjoy Sting rather than enjoying the concert herself, the Victory Tour was a whole different kettle of fish. She was up on the seats dancing and clapping (almost in TIME with the music, even!) and grinning and as enraptured by the show as I was. We have only had that much shared appreciation for anything when on horseback, and this was a crowded noisy expensive concert that was still the best one I have seen to date. (I also love Paul Simon and got to see him and Sting -whose children I would bear in a second at his request - together from the 13th row anand d as phenomenal as that was with both their historical iconic selves close enough to watch personally instead of on the Jumbo Screen, that STILL didn't not even challenge the transporting of the spirit that was the Victory Tour, I would not hesitate to state that it may never be topped for me, and my Mom even might agree.

He was a phenomenon, an extraordinary force of energy that was mesmerizing and fascinating and enchanting to observe. Captivation embodied and decorated with sparkly socks.... Truly awesome.

At the time, as delighted as I was, I could not have known what a fabulous and unique experience that would be in entertainment. In retrospect I can't possibly thank Dad enough for those tickets. It never would have even occurred to me to ASK for them as a present, as it wasn't even something I understood as a concept really, having never been to any sort of professional concert before... THat was a really really special one, though.

He was such a perfectionist his entire life and I blame it entirely on his father and mother. He should have taken it easy. He always wanted to make everyone happy, but himself. He lived his life to not disappoint his fans. way too much stress and pressure on himself, and the media's negative comments and allocations, as well as the government's strip search and interrogations brought Jackson to a crashing end. He said he was very resilient and that he had rhino skin, and he was tough, but not immoral. Poor guy. I would have loved and nurtured the shit out of him and taken his ass to church, and helped him through his pain and addiction.

I have often thought that Thriller took away any sense of self that Michael had. That album catapulted Michael into a stratosphere beyond comprehension. From that point on, he belonged not to himself but to the World. Still, Michael loved the magic of it all until the media's smear campaign. In death, however, Michael has reclaimed the musical glory that "they" tried to take from him. Both Michael's Life and Death served a singular purpose: Music.

Those of us who have reached age 50 (when MJ died) and were shocked that that age meant way less energy and strength despite otherwise healthy and have had to do anything physical for more than just a few weeks knows that Michael struggled with the same problems. MJ was all talent, but age just catches up to you whether you want it to or not. Then add accidents and other physical problems because of lifestyle (and maybe a few drugs to keep your age-related pain at bay) there you have it. Mystery solved. Michael collapsing during a routine move of his was (and I hate to say it) could have been just his age and abuse of painkillers(maybe) just caught up with the man.

I think he was just being Michael. He was always doing stuff like that, being funny or silly. One of the best people in human existence. He tried so hard to help as many people as he could and to make the world a better place for everyone through his music and great talent. Even if it were only for a short time, was better than not getting to know him at all. He was a truly a one of a kind MASTERPIECE, A MAGNIFICENT human being so many of us were lucky to know through his music, others fortunate enough to meet him in person. If he is alive I hope he is finally happy and living in the peace he deserves. Something in life he wanted so badly and yet was only ridiculed and taunted, mentally and physically by those he new and trusted. If he is gone, I know by his selflessness and truly wonderous deeds, that he is in a much better place. Though I'm a member of the Purple Army (Prince, for those who don't know) I still like MJ. As I am dying inside for the loss of music's greatest icon (Prince, again, for those who don't know), I fin myself crying as I look at his video. It breaks my heart that he collapsed many times then got back up, still trying to perform.
