1.) James Walker is an English singer/songwriter from Reading who is an introspective, intelligent & enthralling performer who sings songs of love, loss & healing.
Originally a session musician, he performed as a piano player for a number of touring artists, spending six years playing smokey cafés, obscure European festivals and at small venues all over the continent.
After an unexpected illness, he fought a year-long battle with a rare heart condition, culminating in major surgery & rehabilitation. It changed the perspective he had on life; he realised that he wanted to tell stories of his own, and further understand the world that surrounds him.
With a determination to explore the depth of impact these events had on him, and with a desire to resonate with others’ emotions, James moved to a new city and started writing his own material. Inspired by artists such as Conor Oberst, The Weepies and Damien Rice, but drawing on influences by emo/post-rock bands like Foxing, Pavement & Tigers Jaw, Walker penned his debut EP.
Using the network of contacts, friends and peers he’d made as a session musician, he booked an extensive year of shows across Europe and the USA to support the release & to perform to his first audiences. They were a great success, and enabled James to make friends with some artists who he’ll be performing with later in the year, Dutch singer/songwriter Judy Blank & American artist Matt Phillips.
James Walker has just finished tracking his debut full-length, English Bones, with Sam Winfield at Studio 91 (Amber Run, Supergrass, Dry the River), which will be released on Wild Native Records this coming November. English Bones is a step away from the Modern Medicine EP, both thematically and stylistically, and includes James’ first tracks with a full-band.

2.) James Walker is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Walker has numerous band appearances to his credit. His current solo project is also his first.

James Walker (other names include "Jay-Jay", "Strawberry Blonde Gangster" and "Go away") is also an upcoming and promising solo artist who's track record includes allegedly playing keyboard with led zeppelin and the white stripes. This has never been proved as his image cannot be captured on camera and his existence is still only myth. What can be assured though is that his upcoming solo album, recorded entirely in the seventeenth dimension, is almost definetly going to change the face of the planet. Produced by Tom Rhoden and Walkers dad, the albums release date is not set as it doesnt exist.
