I do think at least Scorsese, Pacino, and Pesci are more down to earth than average and all the mob movie guys can take a joke. Scorsese kind of seems like a home-grown, never forgot where he came from kind of guy who would have his parents in his films when they were alive(by all indications a big momma’s boy which was wholesome especially since he cast her as Tommy DeVito’s mom in Goodfellas, as well as his dad using an actual Scorsese family recipe in the prison scene). Spielberg’s probably the only one out of the new cinema movement directors(him, Lucas, Scorsese, Coppola, etc) I’d maybe consider sus based on allegations of his name being in the book and by reaction. Pesci was a comedian before he became an actor in a duo with Frank “shinebox, 20 years in the can, Shah of Iran” Vincent so I think he can definitely take a joke. I know De Niro went off the deep end with politics but that doesn’t diminish his abilities to me at least. idc what their politics are as long as it isn’t too whack-job or touching kids. Don’t think I’ve seen any of their names in any versions of the list but I could be wrong or they’re smart/rich enough to get it removed. Idk

His speech has to be somewhat approved before he uses it. The operators of the show knew what he was going to say. After 6 years I assume so did a great deal of the actors.
