Bolo Sri Krsna
Jaya Lakshmi Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Radhe! Radhe! Bolo Sri Krsna Bolo, Jai Radhe
Hari Nama Govindaya, Hari Hare-ye
Radhe! Radhe! Hari Nama Govindaya, Hari Hareye
The lyrics to Jaya Lakshmi's song "Bolo Sri Krsna" are a call to the divine. "Bolo Sri Krsna Bolo" means "Say the name of Shri Krishna," and "Jai Radhe Radhe" means "Victory to Radha," who is Krishna's beloved. The repetition of Radhe's name is meant to intensify the spiritual energy, as is the repetition of "Hari Nama Govindaya/Hari Hare-ye," which means "Chant the name of Govinda, Chant 'Hari Hare.'" The word "Hari" is a name for the Divine, and "Govinda" is another name for Krishna.
Overall, these lyrics are a call to devote oneself to the Divine through singing and chanting, calling out the names of Krishna and Radha, and allowing the energy of the music and the repetition of the words to create a devotional, meditative atmosphere. This song is a way of connecting to the divine and allowing oneself to be immersed in the energy and love of Krishna and Radha.
