When singer Bettina Mischke and keyboard player Roland Grosch decided to found Jazzamor in 2001 they perhaps did not imagine that their minimalistic lounge arrangements would take off so quickly. Two albums in three years have highlighted their productivity as they firm out their smoothe 60s jazzy sounds in Europe's main languages. The albums' commercial success have decided the pair on plunging into the live circuit with the same passion they brought to their recordings.
In 2006 they released their third studio album "Travel... (In Order Not To Arrive)". A trip around the world in music. Each song is placed at a special setting in the world. Sometimes it's the language, other times it's an instrument, a rhythm or a story that brings us on a journey to a distant country or a city. Sometimes it's just a wishful dream, other times tales of being there.

Things We Do for Love
Jazzamor Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I played the field
couldn´t live without
I aimed to cheat
for days on end
you went to town
the nights I spent
getting the runaround
I´ve got to pay the price
Gonna hold on to what we´ve got
gonna hold on never stop
every day´s a new day of the rest of our life
the things we do for love
the things we do for love
the things we do for love
2. I´ll toe the line
pay my dues
just have a heart
I changed my tune
I´ll keep in mind
you´re what I need
two of a kind
will sow the seed
gimme a piece of your mind
I´ve got to pay the price
Gonna hold on to what we´ve got
gonna hold on never stop
In Jazzamor's song "Things We Do for Love," the lyrics tell the story of a person who has realized the value of love and the lengths they are willing to go to keep it. The first few lines describe a time in their life where they were playing the field and cheating, but the realization of what they could lose made them change their ways. They ask for forgiveness and promise to hold on to what they have, never stopping in their efforts to maintain the relationship. The lyrics also touch on the idea that every day is a new opportunity to show love and do whatever it takes to keep it.
The verses convey the message that this relationship is now a priority, and they are willing to "toe the line" and "pay their dues" to prove it. They also acknowledge that they need their partner, and together, they will "sow the seed" to build a strong foundation for their future. These lyrics show the importance of communication and honesty in a relationship, and how these are key elements in building a lasting connection.
Overall, "Things We Do for Love" is a song that celebrates the power of love and the sacrifices people make to keep it alive. The lyrics tell a story of growth, change, and commitment, and the message is one that resonates with many people who have experienced the ups and downs of a relationship.
