Pronounced "Inundaray" with a rolled R sound, Inundare is Jo Beth Henderson's debut album.
Jo Beth Henderson is a Texan artist with a twist, to put it simply. She is a proud Native American, Choctaw tribe and Scottish descendant, which has flavored her influences in music and life as an artist from early on. Being a Libra also places much emphasis on her tendencies of style and expressivity. She is truly a by-product outcome of her generation, being born in 1973 into the luxurious lap of the classical rock era. Her performance debut was in theatre at age seven. Throughout her childhood she discovered the joys of musical theatre, comedy, songwriting, dance, and playing musical instruments. Soon, she developed these passions through instruction in piano and singing in choir. Coming from a large family that is extremely gifted in music in various aspects also set the way she views the worlds around us.
Through the teen years, she starred in several stage performances at civic performing art centers in Dallas, TX., and Garland, TX. By her late teen years, she began singing in the college choir that her father was director of before graduating high school. At that time she also began vocal instruction and joined other singers in the Texas All-State Choir. Still, there were more theatre shows and playing bass and guitar in the high school group ensemble for three years.
In her years of college study at Richland Jr. College in Dallas, TX., and at Southwest Texas State University (now known as Texas State University), she starred in many main-stage shows and studied opera and vocal performance for three more years. Jo Beth sang with the Richland Jr. College chorale at Carnegie Hall in 1993. Another rewarding achievements of the time was teaching vocal performance to outstanding musicians in Aberdeen, Scotland.
After leaving the university scene, she moved to her recent home in Austin, TX. This is where she developed her skills in a new level of expertise in many fields of art. This includes theatre acting and musical theatre, voice over work for commercials and computerized games, film work, singer-songwriting at various venues all over Texas, North America, Mexico, and Europe. She also plays bass, guitar, vocals, and keyboards in other musician’s projects, cover.bands, and her own rock music. Another aspect of her abilities includes vocal arranging for composers of particular musical theatrical works in the recent years.
Jo Beth has also received critical acclaim for performances in theatre and cyber-opera works in Austin, TX. She has been nominated by the B. Iden Payne Awards committee and the Austin Circle of Theatres for her performances in many shows and for choreography of “ Pythia Dust ”, written by Ethos. At the 2005 B. Iden Payne Awards, she received the award for Best Leading Actress in a Drama for the experimental show, “ Hole “, with the Vortex Theatre.
Still, the projects and capacities expand with every work embarked. One of her most recent styles of performance is collaborating and starring in ritual and experimental theatre. This type of performance has given her great experience in stage combat, stunt work, musical and chorographical collaboration with artists and directors.
Jo Beth's debut full-length album, “Inundare“, is now available. This album premiers the next phase of her artistic path.

Once in a while, life surfaces lightly as a smile unto oneself.
We ALL want a BIG-BIG piece of the pie
Dressed up and out at 10 oclock for whoevers passing by.
And I have heard when animals are hungry they eat.
When they are fed some prowl about for more, some retreat
Never contraptually! Only synapsually zoned into your eyes!
All undone! All unraveled, IT cuts me down to size!!
When theres daydreaming about you!
Slow walkin, some talkin bout nothin much ado
DaydreamingDAYDREAMING!!!!
Ask me once have I ever dared to give it a care! daydreamingSlow walkin, some talkin bout
Nothin much with you
Daydreaming DAYDREAMING!!!!...that we are in the Starsthat
All is over Earththe colors of the daywhere everything is A-O.K.! Yeah!
That we are in the Sunand I am your girlwe are in the Stars and we are in the Sun
The lyrics of the song "Daydreamin'" by Jo Beth Henderson are introspective and layered with imagery about the struggles and joys of life. The opening lines suggest that the world can be a harsh place, full of chaos and uncertainty. However, sometimes we are lucky enough to experience moments of pure joy, which can be as simple as a smile to oneself. Despite this, there is an underlying sense of competition and desire for success, symbolized by the desire for a big piece of the pie and the need to look good for others.
The following lines bring in the idea of animal instincts, suggesting that we are all driven by basic needs and desires. The image of being synapsally zoned into someone's eyes suggests a deep connection and attraction to another person, which can be both exhilarating and humbling. The chorus repeats the phrase "daydreaming," which highlights the theme of escapism and the power of imagination to transport us to a better place. The idea of being in the stars or the sun represents a sense of transcendence and freedom from everyday life.
Overall, the lyrics of "Daydreamin'" convey a message of hope and resilience in the face of life's challenges. Through the power of daydreams, we can find moments of joy and escape, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty.
