After having played in diverse bands Frank decided to give his real passion a try: songwriting. Inspired by acts like Ryan Adams, Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley and Tori Amos Frank started writing a bunch of new songs. Accompanied only by his guitar he played a few try out performances. After these performances Frank decided it was time to record some of his songs. In december 2008 the first EP was released on the internet. In only two months time the EP was downloaded over two thousand times and the fan base on community websites like MySpace and Hyves started to grow.
In the meantime Frank formed a band around him. With Daan van de Hurk on keys, Jos Otters on bass and Frank van der Star on drums John C Fraser became a live act that gives every song an extra dimension. To capture the heart of every song Frank decided to record the songs live on the 10th of may 2009. In the Café Paard van Troje in Den Haag the band set up it's equipment and started to record without any public around them. Each song was recorded a couple of times and the best take made it to the CD. No overdubbing and tricks: Just the songs in it's most pure form.
In June 2009 the CD was released under the name "Head to My Heart" the title of one of the most striking songs on the album.
In october 2009 John C Fraser will start a live tour carrying Frank and the band across the entire Netherlands accompanying the release of the single "the Odd One Out" which will be released in the same month.

This is one of my all-time favourite Tori tracks & I am LOVING your guitar riff, John! Ace stuff! It really replicates the energy & the rage of the original. Nice vocals too - well done you & thanks for posting & sharing :-)

I have been a tori fan since the begining and I have to say this is one of the best covers of any of the "girls" that I have ever heard. Well done!
