Born on the Bayou
John Fogerty & Greatful Dead Lyrics

Now, when I just was a little boy,
Standin' to my Daddy's knee,
My poppa said "Son, don't let the man get you
And do what he done to me."

I can remember the fourth of July,
Runnin' through the backwood bare.
And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin',
Chasin' down a hoodoo there,
Chasin' down a hoodoo there.

Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou

Wish I was back on the Bayou,
Rollin' with some Cajun Queen.
Wishin' I where a fast freight train,
Just a chooglin' on down to New Orleans.
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou

I can remember the fourth of July,
Runnin' through the back wood bare.
And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin',
Chasin' down a hoodoo there,
Chasin' down a hoodoo there.

Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou

This was one of the amazing days of my life. Parked about a mile out from the park and biked in....with supplies including a mini TV set borrowed on batteries. Greatest moment was during Tracy Chapman's set...singin "Fast Cars".....and the Niners score. The whole crowd roars/goes ecstatic in front of poor Tracy in the midst of this totally downer song. Best funny concert moment ever.

I remember being at a music festival in like 2007-2008 and someone played this song really loud on the morning after I was coming down from an acid trip. This version of the song was AMAZING...

I was there, what a day, what a week. I heard news reports that the crowd estimate was estimated to be somewhere 350,000 to a half million. The low end estimate was confirmed with fly-overs, but they allowed that the trees obscured some of the crowd from view. Amazing, chill crowd, and the largest I've seen. I was about 50 feet up a eucalyptus tree when the Dead started, just to see the view... RIP all gone ahead, we're still holding strong here

Pinetop

That was awesome, all it needed was a solo from jerry.

I was there my senior year in college at the University of San Francisco... wow... I couldn't believe the amount of people who came to the show... it was quite an experience. I remember just looking all around and trying to take it all in!!!!
